Red noticed him snatching away from Rachael and it infuriated him to an unbelievable extent, since he still had feelings for the feisty young mix breed girl. Red stormed forward, snatching a well crafted sword from the wall and glaring at him. The demon meant business now. Soon they raged into a long battle. Meanwhile though Rachael still stood there in shock, unsure of who's side she should take. I've got to remain faithful. If I choose Red's side and he is defeated, I will fall as well. She thought, growing angry with the decisions she was forced to take. She could tell Princess Nuala, Nuada's sister, was also unhappy, feeling as though she needed to go and comfort her. Rachael walked over to Princess Nuala and sighed, "Everything will be okay. Good guys always win."

Prince Nuada fought brutally with the big demon for a few more moments until suddenly everything had come to a screeching halt, just before he was about to deliever the finally deadly blow. His grip on his weapon loosened as the cold steel plumitted to the floor, the world in front of him growing a bit hazy. Abe and Liz watched from afar, unaware of what had happened to cause everything to stop. Prince Nuada turned and faced Rachael, smiling once before falling to his knees and onto his side. The great prince had fallen, blood spilling from a wound deep into his abdominal area, as if a knife had been plunged down into his stomach. His vision was growing worse and worse as he lay on his back, thinking of how death would be for him. So far, painful, that left him with many questions to never be answered.

Rachael gasped as he stopped and turned before crashing down, lifting her skirts and running to him. All at once her knees and hands hit the floor as she scrambled to him, grabbing his hand and sitting next to him, her back to everyone. "Prince..." She said quietly, ripping a sleeeve from her dress and pushing it against his stomach. "It'll be okay I promise." She said, her voice cracking and tears beginning to spill down her face. Deep down inside of her she knew that there was nothing she could do, the prince would die in a few short minutes. When she noticed the blood wouldn't stop she collapsed over him, her words coming out jumbled and rushed. "Prince... Please don't die. You cannot leave me here, not like this. Please tell me that you'll be okay. Someone can fix this right!?" Her voice shook as she looked over at Princess Nuala, she lay in the same position, a knife in her grip. So that's what happened. Rachael looked back down, moving Prince Nuada's hair from his face.

Prince Nuada tightened his fingers lightly around her's as he lay there, wincing in pain as the cloth was pressed against the tender wound. "Rachael." He said quietly as he tried to stop her, her grew more firm the second time. "Rachael!" He winced before taking a deep breath. "Stop this nonsense this instant. Where is your pride? Your honor? My farewells are never for good." He said, his grip loosening again. He knew he was dying and he could tell Rachael was in deep distress. Honestly he didn't want to die. Not for a selfish reason, but because he didn't want to leave Rachael here unprotected in the outside world all alone. She was the only thing on his mind right now.

Her voice shook as more tears flowed, "Prince no, you don't understand! Your going to be a father! Please don't leave me here, I can't do this by myself." She said, hanging her head in defeat as she sobbed harder. Behind her she could hear the other BPRD members murmuring quietly and moving, not that she cared. "Prince I beg you, please." She said one final time. "I have not a clue as to what to do with a baby, I need you. Your child needs you. Please Prince you musn't die on me. Please!" She begged helplessly, the room becoming even more still.

Prince Nuada's grip tightened again as he was surprised by her words. A father? He thought, How can I possibly leave her now? She's carrying my child. My child. He thought, growing concerned for her and the baby's safety. "Rachael stop." He ordered firmly. "You will continue on as if I were still there. I'll be with you in spirit." He paused. "But you must take care of the child, never let harm come to him." He said, gazing into her eyes. He started to turn slowly to stone as the last bit of life drained from his body. "I-I love you." He managed to breath out before shutting his eyes.

Rachael nodded at his words, trying to regain her confidence and pride. As she felt his body shift and then slowly turn to stone she screamed, leaning forward quickly and kissing him as her arms wrapped tightly around his neck. Please don't leave me! The thoughts swarmed around and around in her head as she sobbed harder. She could tell his time was up and that the Prince, was finally dead. "I love you too." She whispered, holding his now stone body. She gazed into the light tan tint of the stone, wanting this to be a dream. A few moments passed before Red finally stepped forward, placing his left hand on her shoulder.
"It's time to come home Rachael."
She shook her head. "I have no home. The man who I love is gone... There is no place for me anymore."
"That's not true... You belong at the BPRD with us, let's go." He said before lifting her to her feet. She looked down at Prince Nuada again and touching her stomach, "I don't know what I'll do without him... I'm scared Red. I'm scared." She said, tears still flowing. "My baby won't have a father, questions will be asked... I can't handle this on my own Red."
"Then let me help." The room grew quiet.

Liz watched Red and Rachael talk amongst themselves, clearing her throat before stepping forward. "I'll help too, Rachael." She said, giving her a nervous and untrusting smile. Abe blinked his eyes a few times and stepped forward as well, "As shall I." He said with a smile. They had pity for this single mother and wanted to be there for their friend when the time came to be strong. Liz glanced over once more at Rachael and then back to Prince Nuada. She shook her head and sighed. As if she hasn't suffered enough.

Rachael looked amongst her friends, standing in silence as she took one more look at Nuada. If looks could bring the dead back to life, this one could. Rachael stood in the dim lighting of the room and just stared at the stone figure that was once Nuada, as if waiting for him to get off the ground and enclose her petite body with his arms. Things would be entirely different now that Nuada and Nuala were out of the picture, a lot of longing and sad memories to come. When Rachael finally broke the gaze from the fallen Prince she looked up at Red, "I want him." She admitted sadly, looking down at the floor. Red sighed and put his arm around her, "Look, it's been a long night for all of us. Let's just go back to the B.P.R.D and get some dinner, a nice hot shower and a good night's rest will put your mind at ease too. C'mon." He said, trying to distract her mind from the obvious distress in her body. Rachael sighed and nodded, "That does sound nice." She said, taking a step forward with Red. As they walked together Rachael turned and recited a few words in the native tongue that Nuada had used earlier in those months of knowing her, almost getting choked up on tears. Red gave her a confused and sad look, trying not to meet her eyes just yet. The smaller woman kept her eyes on Nuada and repeated it back in English, "Pure love will never return void, no matter the distance or lost memories. To my heart and soul I will be true, to my prince, to you, and love no other but the father to my child." She said, her voice shaky and smooth.
