^ I think that was really the only thing I had against Mockingjay, too, rofl. There were a few I had slightly been expecting, but the rest were a surprise.

But other than the fact my favorite characters [almost always] die Mockingjay was amazing, just like the rest. I actually need to re-read it again.. haha

I'm finally reading Catching Fire (second book) and I really enjoy it so far! After I finish it I'll edit my first post to include info about that book as well. x]

^ Just to add to what Tibbeh said about that:

Lol. Well, there were a few deaths I was predicting that obviously happened. Some definitely didn't happen the way I expected. Because eventually, all the characters will die, I was just hoping that a certain few would die like Katniss and Peeta will: at an old age.

Long list, but eh... I liked a lot of character/didn't expect a lot of characters' deaths.

I just recently read The Hunger Games Trilogy. I absolutely loved it, and I could not put it down! I bought them on my Kindle and read them non-stop. Reading while eating dinner, etc, haha! I haven't felt like that about a series in while. Actually, true confession  I was like that when reading the Twilight Series (but for different reasons). Although I would say that The Hunger Games is a lot better. I would say that the only reason why people compare the two is because there was a love triangle... (Bella, Edward, Jacob), (Katniss, Peeta, Gale).... However, besides that, I don't see any other similarities.

Has anybody read any of Suzanne Collins other books? Should I give them a try? I have a couple of other books lined up that I want to read, but I'd like to give her a go if her other books are just as good. :)

The teaser trailer is out!! If you can't tell/don't know, it's Gale that is talking in the background.

I finished reading this book series about a month ago, and let me just say... I don't know many other books that have kept me reading non-stop to an obsessive level. Like, I'm talking I stayed up until 2AM once on a school night reading these, knowing I had to go to sleep. It was really bad haha. xD but the books were AMAZING. <3 Seriously epic.

Kind of a thread revival. XD

I read the first two books. AWE-SOME! The first book was (and with no exaggeration) the best book I have ever read in my life. No joke. The second book was, of course, a close second.

Both books kept me on the edge of my seat, even though both start off kinda slow, but pick up so quickly in an instant and have you reading every last sentence in awe and amazement. You never know what to expect.

Hopefully by the weekends's end my mom will get me Mockingjay so I can start reading it. :)

These books are AWESOME ever since I read them last year ive been hooked!!! :)
Mockingjay was an utter bloodbath ... UNBELIVEABLE!!! and I thought that it made a change to have so many of the main characters killed off, although some of my favourites were amoung them!!! :( It was a great ending, however maybe wrapped up a little too fast? Maybe not enough detail into what happens in the future, but hey it leaves room for a sequel.
What I think would be real cool would be a prequel from Haymitch's point of view on his experience in the hunger games.
I am sooooooo exctied to see the movie, im seeing it on sunday ... looks quite good, I mean its got to have some differences from the book but if they change a lot of it I will be disappointed.
Although one thing bothers me... The rating. Its a UK 12a ... 12a. Battle Royale, its pratical twin brother (READ THE MANGA!!!!) is a rated 18. I'm not saying that I want it to be super violent, but I think that the 12a rating has just taken away that grit that I thought the movie would have -_-.
Also I don't think that kids 12 years and younger should be able to see a film about teenagers fighting to the death, im 15 but the age gap makes all the difference right?
It should've been rated 15, that would've been a statement and the film would be so much more awesome.
But regardless im real excited!!!!
And my other complaint is the soundtrack, the theme song by Taylor Swift is absoloute garbage. Thats just me, everyone on you tube loves it XD If you ask me its too mainstream and (twilightish?) plus its not some stupid soppy story ..grrr ... I dont know, I hate the song (I hate mainstream stuff, im a metalhead at heart)

I've just finished to read the first book, The Hunger Games, I wasn't really thrilled at first, it looked interesting but not as much as it happened with other book, that's why I've read other books before I decided to start The Hunger Games. I've started it yesterday after reading Maggie Stiefvater's Linger for the third time. I bought it at school with me and finished it during the middle break.
O-O
I mean, I couldn't stop reading it. I HAD to read what was going to happen!
I wasn't especting to like it this much, I've really had a wrong opinion at the beginning, before even reading the book!
Sadly, the whole series isn't out yet in Italy but I know that the second book was just relased so, I'm pretty sure you can guess what I'm going to buy next time I go into a bookshop!
I'm looking foraward to see the movie aswell, here it comes out the 1st May if I'm not wrong, even tho in the first italian relased trailed, it was written that the movie would be relased in the middle of April but, nevermind, I guess I'll wait.
