It looks like not only the Talespin fans would love to get an official Talespin Soundtrack :

"This is a not only a great show, but one of my favorite scores. It really proves that great work can be created even for a children's cartoon tv show. This was a tv show that I grew up with and absolutely love even to this day. "

Talking about that : did anyone notice that what I call the "main theme" (the short, dynamic passage that really stands out, the one we can hear for example in Plunder & Lightning when Baloo's about to rescue Kit) is extended in the later episodes, while it's much shorter in the earlier?
Check "Destiny Rides Again" for example.
I think Christopher Stone noticed it was too short and decided to make it longer. A shame it's the short version on the promo disc.

Everything about Talespin is WAY under-rated!

Ah; Christopher L. Stone. Something about the soundtrack he did for TaleSpin makes me proud since he has done some really good stuff over the years and some of it is iconic.

http://www.composerchrisstone.com/

- Wrote three soundtracks for motion pictures by the age of 12 (Making The Password is Courage soundtrack legit now and was done at nine years old).
- Creator of the first orchestra score for a video Game Dragon's Lair (which pretty much inspired the music in Final Fantasy IV and many others since.)
- Done over 2000 soundtracks in his career.
- Also builds electronic orchestral systems.
- Composer for 20 films; music is performed by the London Symphony.

Compared with the music in children's cartoons today; TaleSpin is like painting a masterpiece with oil based paint; while the rest are finger painting using water colors. It's just stunning to listen to.

As for my favorite soundtrack; it's Kit's Chase of course. It sounds like something out of a good Star Wars movie.

I always thought "Kit's Chase" sounded like something out of Raiders of the Lost Ark. Specifically, the scene where Indy is running away from the Hovitos natives towards the beginning of the movie. Both pieces of music have light, plucked stringed instruments.

There's one song I really like but I can't seem to find on youtube; it was featured in 'The Old Man and the Sea Duck' where Baloo was reinspired to fly again, and where we see Kit flying with Daring Dan in Stormy Weather, etc.

What's that called?

There are only the most often used tunes in the soundtrack. I think there are lots of parts that aren't included, for example the ending of 'The Old Man and the Sea Duck' (when Baloo realizes that the old man who helped him passed away long ago - I particularly like that one)

Agreed. That was an inspirational ending. I really loved how Baloo concluded that he must've been a guardian angel. Just goes to show how an episode of a amazing series can teach. :)
