Well these personalty changes could of been caused by diffrent animaters and a diffrent script writer, sure but also from expeirence like Simba's cautiousness from Kopa's amsuamed death [please don't reaply badly if you don't belive Kopa didn't exsist, article is not about that], but Nala's calmness, not really.

Fanfiction is nice but seriously, there is no
need for it to explain anything in the sequel film.
Simba's behaviour does indeed source from experience, that is correct. But he is the way he is in it because of his own childhood traumas and Kiara being just like he was then. I'm not making this up, they even make the point in the film.
"She's just like you when you were young."
"Exactly! Remember all those dangers we got outselves into?"
"Dangers
you got us into."
^Hence, the Elephant Graveyard and the film makers know what else that we just weren't shown in the film, and ultimately Simba almost getting stampeded to death by a wildebeest herd. (Even though he knew by the time that Scar killed Mufasa, he never really learned the details. He may have still thought the stampede itself was his doing and Scar just threw daddy dearest off the cliff...) Then added the fact that Simba grew up in exile, feeling insecure and having no guidence into parenting or adulthood or kingship, thus remaining a scared little boy inside even during his reign and parenting. There is absolutely no need for any other child to have existed and lost before Kiara. In fact, if there was, Simba would be much, much more protective and having Kiara guarded by lionessess instead of a meerkat and a warthog no matter how best friends they are with him.
Nala on her behalf grew up under Scar's reign, having her mama and pride to support her, thus growing up into a strong, confident woman. And again, as there was no other child before Kiara, she had no reason to be anything but calm.

That didn't really happen when kopa "died" because she wasn't very close to Kopa
Except that in
A Tale of Two Brothers when Kopa comes home and wonders how his mom knew what he was doing, Nala licks his face and tells him "You are never far from my sight or my protection. I can see everything that moves on the plain." to which Kopa commtnts: "Creepy."
^Hence, there is no way Nala wouldn't be completely freaking out and heart-wretched if she had lost Kopa, not to mention another child too. And even in general, no way she would be calm about Kiara if she had one or two kids lost before Kiara.
She's calm because Kiara is her first child and there is no need to worry as much as Simba does (for reasons completely explainable by the first film without any cubs.)
As for the colouring differings, the entire film is one big colour difference to the first film, so please just drop the colouring issue already.
And may I ask, what exactly do you base your cub-colouring claim on? I honestly doubt it is that absolutely set in stone as you'd like it to be.
