Nyota Mwanga followed Theluji to the watering hole. She took a quick drink and, started back on her journey.
She kept going then she saw that the land was getting drier and tougher. Nyota soon knew that they were entering a different land. He stopped Theluji and look at the surroundings.
“Theluji its time to go now, I am afraid that we are far from the northern pride lands.” Nyota, told Theluji as he turned her back to go home.

“But, Nyota we haven’t gotten very far can we go a little bit more please?” she tries to ask Nyota to go farther.
Nyota said “No and that is final Princess Theluji its time to go home now”
As soon as they were talking they heard something in the grass. Theluji went closer to see what was in the grass. “Come back Princess Theluji, you don’t know what’s in the grass!” Nyota shouted at her to come back to safety.

“Don’t worry Nyota it might be another lion cub that wants to play.” Theluji told Nyota being care free.
Then Suddenly out of the grass was a hyena he looks hungry and, he looks at Theluji.

“Run Theluji run now!” Nyota shouted at Theluji and she ran fast.
Theluji tripped and, fell down she was very scared and, wanted help she screamed loud. Then all of a sudden a lion came a chased him off. The lion look at Theluji strangely for; he has never seen a lion cub white as snow before.
The lion said “Hello young one, what are you doing in the pride lands?” She looked scared and said “nothing Sir. I was just traveling.”
Theluji shivered so much she didn’t speak but, she wanted to say something sadly she couldn’t get the words out her mouth.
Suddenly her father Nguvu came to her aid, with a mighty roar the mysterious lion gets back in defense.
Nguvu shouted


“Who are you! And what are you doing with my daughter?” Nguvu look at him angrily, the other lion tried to explain that he was not going to hurt his daughter.
The other lion said “Please Sir. I didn’t hurt her I was protecting her from hyenas” but, Nguvu didn’t trust him that easily.
“Keep away from my daughter and, be gone with you!” Nguvu shouted and, with pride by his side left for home.
They returned to the Northern Pride lands her mother Mlima look at Nguvu and said “Are you sure you to will be ok?” Nguvu looked at her and, closed his eyes. Her mother went back to the mountain.
Nguvu put Theluji down and looked at her seriously; she knew that she was in hot water.
Nguvu said to his daughter

“I am very disappointed in you Theluji; you went in to a land when I told you don’t go south. You could have gotten hurt or even worse.” Nguvu look at Theluji displeased


“But daddy, I didn’t mean to go far I was just having fun. I thought that that was another lion cub.” Theluji tried to explain to her father, but Nguvu was not taking excuses.
She looks down and says “I’m sorry father I didn’t mean to disobey you” her father was quite merciful and calmed down and looked at his child.
He told her “Theluji I am glad that you’re alright but, you could have gotten hurt and I would know what to do if you got injured.
She smiled at him and they had a little fun the all of a sudden it started to snow and the snow fell lightly on the lands. They went back home and cuddled together.


“Father why does it snow?” she asked Nguvu said that “the snow purifies the land and, water that come from the heavens freezes and, the land is restored.”
The snow fell down and everyone was asleep everyone except for theluji, she was amazed by the miracle that came upon the land. She was next to her father happily and after a few minutes she fell asleep quietly.
