History: Born to a misplaced stray couple, Astra grew up with a hard life. She learned how to steal, survive, hide and run at a rather young age, and because of this, made her solitary.
When she turned a year old, her mother became ill after a man in the neighborhood poisoned them with meat. Astra, Ember and Comet weren't living with their parents at the time, due to the fact the strays often leave the family young. When word came to them, Astra went into a deep depression. But then she met a handsome Alaskan Malamute, named Steele. He was completely full of himself, and a total jerk, but she was drawn to him. He was popular, and he knew it. She began to crush on him, and adored him. She was jealous of Jenna, and how Steele loved her. She hated Balto though, despite her mixed blood. Always loyal, she soon followed Steele when he told the story of Balto's 'Death'. She didn't believe Jenna, and argued the next day. "Whats wrong with you? Don't you understand Steele is only thinking the best for you? You fool!" Astra spat. Jenna rolled her eyes. "Whatever. He is head over heels for me, but I don't love him! He's arrogant, and a cocky, stubborn-" she started, but was interrupted by Astra's growl. "You don't understand how much I love him!" Astra growled. "You took his heart, but will have nothing to do with him!" she sobbed, and soon went to a whisper. "I wish he loved me like he loved you." she murmured as Jenna glared at her. Astra would constantly follow Steele like a lost puppy, or a shadow for months. Eventually, she started noticing Rosie leaving food out. "Maybe I wasn't careful enough" Astra thought. She lived near the house, almost for life. Lately, she had been absentmindedly leaving signs of life. She was violating a #1 Rule of being a stray; Don't let humans know you exist. But, the food looked good... but she couldn''t be too risky. Her parents died because of taking food from humans. Perhaps, this child wanted to eliminate her...
Not even six months after Astrid thought of conspiracies against Rosie, hard times fell upon Nome. It was winter, humans were more cautious about protecting food, and making sure food didn't go to waste. And, to make things worse, the butcher had set poisoned meat everywhere. No fresh meat there... and, the nearest forest was nearly seven miles away. Rosie's food looked mighty tempting. And, that moment, Astra broke the 2nd rule of being a stray; Never take food from humans. Rosie got to the point where she would try to pet Astra, but the dog was nervously scaring food. Throughout the winter, Rosie began to love Astra, and she loved her back. Until, that was, Rosie offered Astra a home. Astra's response was running into the streets. Rosie had made a unbreakable bond with Astra, but the dog would refuse to step foot inside a house. Astra still loved Rosie though. Jenna even eventually began trying to befriend Astra, after the mixed breed began getting over Steele. Now, Astra is the town clown. She is silly, happy, and a fundog. Balto even started letting her babysit the pups. Aleu would always 'impress' Astra by howling, while the other pups would grimace. At one point, while Steele started to notice Astra (For the first time since she got over him) he was flirting with her, and one night, she felt love flicker again. But, Comet thought they were together. When Astra woke up one morning, she felt... wrong. The night flashed through her mind for weeks. Then she saw a horrific memory... Comet leaping out of a bush, attacking the Husky, Astra trying to stop him, getting snapped at, and seeing Steele losing his life to her brother. She still had the scar under her fur...
Personality: She is loyal, caring, trusting, kind, and has the wrong taste in males, as you can see. She wants him to love her, so she would do anything for him. Around Jenna, she is spiteful, cold, and heartless. Sometimes, she is really just a bubbly, silly little dog. Later on, she becomes Jenna's best friend, and got to the point where their bond was even closer than Rosie's. Around boys, she is a happy dork, who sometimes trys to flirt with them.
Fears: Drowning, storms, some males, forests, darkness and stepping inside a house.
Strengths: Stamina, strength, agility, and evading things. Hiding, and being silent is good too.
