http://www.litefm.com/cc-common/mainheadlines3.html?feed=421220&article=9738000You may have heard of this by now. You may have seen it. Either way, I have something to say about it. After watching and listening to the whole thing, and the enormous outpouring of support for the father who made this video, I am in complete and total agreement with what he did! This is an AMAZING father! And while I will preface what I will say below with the codicil that I KNOW not all preteens and teens are like this guy's daughter clearly was. But you know what? We all know that there ARE members of this site who are just like this guy's daughter (whether they are girls or guys) -- selfish, conniving, conceited, spoiled rotten BRATS and screw-ups who feel that they have every right to do and be whatever the hell they want, whenever they want, WHERE ever they want. And that the namby-pamby, weak, politically-correct nature of our present society imparts them an automatic defense against real parenting (like what this guy did, and how he and his wife obviously looked out for his daughter before that) and consequences. Screw those idiot kids. And some of you KNOW you're just like that girl (even if you act, in public or online, otherwise). And suuuuuuure, I realize that many of you AREN'T like that girl. But I am talking about (and to) the ones who are and know it - you need treatment like this. Seriously.

Ugh, some kids complain about the dumbest of things. Her father was in every right to do what he did; I agree, he is a good father. Shooting that laptop was epic! xD

If only we could all see the girl's Facebook page! lol
This video is spreading like gangbusters across Facebook and onto the rest of the internet. And it's just as well. Spoiled rotten brats need to see it and be afraid, and lazy, indifferent or otherwise bad parents (or those who want to be their kids' "best friends" rather than their parents) need to see this and wake the freakin' hell UP.

^ Kids can't take punishment. They view any sort of punishment as abuse, and act as if they are the only person in the world who has to be punished or do chores. Especially when you take the ever so precious phone away from them. "OMG! my phone! They took my baby away! If I don't get it back I will hurt them so they can feel my pain!" <--- This is how I view what I think they're saying. And if that is how they're going to react, then they don't deserve to ever get their phone back. If they want a phone so bad, they can get a job and buy one themselves.

I agree with Mighty. And that sort of "retribution" comes from bad parenting. A parent (or parents) being too permissive and reactive rather than PROactive.
No kid who has had proactive, consistent and strong parents (and by that I mean GOOD strong parents, not bullying, overly-strict losers) has ever done anything of the sort. If there has been some sort of retributive stupidity on the part of a kid, it is because there was something else going on...either some mental defect, or bad parenting.

'Your mom told me to put one in there for her!'
I died. xD
Seriously, I'm that sadistic that I would love to see a video of the girl's reaction of seeing her dad fill her laptop with lead. If I ever have children, I would do the same to their property, the property that I will most likely pay for.

And I know I would feel just as he did (though I might stop short of shooting the laptop. lol Running it over with the car or throwing it in a trash compactor? Possible. )

Gun laws are tight in the UK anyway. I'd use a chainsaw or I'd deliberately infect it with a virus if I was feeling particularly forgiving. >8D

I'll tell you one thing that "got through" to the daughter: her father has shown her, as well as other kids that saw the video, that using a gun when you're angry is okay. Definitely a good life lesson for the daughter, and even the cops will agree when she get's older. Yup, this is definitely a good father! Everyone should follow his example...
Everybody take out your guns!!

Everybody take out your guns!! Nope. I don't see that at all. If he used a hammer on the laptop, would you be saying that he showed his daughter that it's okay to use a hammer when you're angry? That wasn't the message conveyed at all.

Ogm dat dad ruined her life GUYZZZ he's so mean nd crazy JC how could u Lol xD I saw this video before... Hilarious, I tell you. I agree; there needs to be more parents like this. It's sad to always see children complain about the things they do or hear them boast about just how much of a "special little snowflake" they are I hate it especially when they talk about their parents. Like "oh man, I hope *insert one parent or both* doesn't/don't come because they're embarrassing." Geez, what are they gonna do? Talk about their childhood? I don't see how, even if the parent acts almost like "a kid". But out of the two, I'm mainly surrounded by the "special snowflake" type of kids. I still remember once when my teacher had to tell a kid that the world didn't revolve around them. He later had a conference with this kid's parents and they really asked him, "Did you tell my child that the world didn't revolve around them?" Like, I can tell when parents are good. There are those some exceptions, but then again, there are exceptions for almost anything. This father is doing a fine job at raising his kid, and I hope she learns her lesson after this. xD

I can understand the father's arguments here, and to be honest, I agree with him. It was completely stupid what she had been saying, on Facebook of all places. If she were really that concerned about the work, she should have complained to her mother or father directly.
Although he really didn't need to shoot the laptop. Could have sold it and got some of his money back!
And what is with people needing to use guns all the time, surely they're for self-defence and not for silly things like this?
