To make the book characters

As asked for the book characters will be made on SS

edit: cause nobody seem to think the fairist way was fair this is closed and i will be picking who dose the images Hidden text : click to show

As you may know, not all of them have images but are given a coat colour and sometimes markings in the book.
In this “project” you will be able to submit and vote for characters images. The winning image will be the character image, this may not be the case for some images but 90% of the time it should be ( now will only be the case if lineart isn't used)

Rules for submitting
-this lineart is to be used if you have to use lineart
- must be in the style of the movie
-stay true to the book

Keep in mind when voting
-the design and art will be on the site
-the winning design won’t mean you have to draw the character like that
-your not voting for the design only its design and image

Changes to voting
- to make voting more fair we have gone with a new way, now from the 22ed to the 1st people who are not members will vote and this will be set up by rin (as he said he wasnt that interested in entering) the top 3 will be then posted on SS for voting

they're gorgeous, troll! Absolutely stunning! My only issue is that she looks quite similar to Spirit without white/cream markings. But then, the books don't mention her having any markings. Still, I think I prefer her with a blaze, like her daughter ^^

I hope I'll have my entry up soon, but there's no way it'll be as good as yours, Troll ^^;

She was described like she is exactly the same colour as Spirit. I think that would explain where he get his coloration

Ah, ok. In that case my entry probably isn't very accurate for her

Alma

I gave her the same body colour and markings colour as Esperanza, but gave her black points instead of the dark brown points that Spirit has. I also gave her similar markings to Esperanza, but she's only got one sock and one stocking. Her eyes and inner ears and nostrils are the same colour as her daughter's too.

The background is from Spirit:SoTC.

Ok, here's my version of Raphael:

Raphael 1

Again, I know he's not described as having any markings in the book, but I looked at the book art of both Sierra and Bonita for reference. Now, I understand that Bonita is generally accepted to be a greyed out sabino, so she carries the genes for Sierra's markings, but they're hidden beneath her grey coat. But the artwork of her seems to have grey hooves and no visible pinking around the nostrils. This to me suggests that she doesn't have markings, which would suggest that the sabino gene would come from Raphael. So, I made him a minimal sabino; he has high legs whites and a thick blaze, but no white spots on his body.

Personally, I prefer the above image, but I understand that it's only my theory for his colouring. So, I made another image of him without any white markings.

That's brilliant, Blaze ^^ I found it really hard to imagine the 'smokey' colour of his mane, but you've achieved it wonderfully ^^
