Now I'm not asking you which Simba you preferred, the young one or the older more complex one, I'm instead asking you who did you think did a better job bringing the character to life? I'd go with Jonathan Taylor Thomas: I thought Matthew Broderick gave a mediocre performance. Sometimes he was good and really got the character and other times he kind of phoned it in. Jonathan though was always on the money.

I voted both. I like JTT's voice for young Simba for he really did fit the character well, and I couldn't image anyone else doing it.
Voice for adult Simba was good as well. Wasn't to old, wasn't to young. It fit his personality and didn't make him sound to authoritative or anything,
but in the end you knew he was in-charge [for both first and second].
