I know a lot of people, including myself, aren't the biggest fan of Wolf Quest for numerous reasons, but what are some things you do like? I know I've always enjoyed the sound score and the clouds in the sky. The backgrounds aren't that bad either.

The Native Alaskan chant at the turning of the year sequence. I love Native Alaskan and Native American music and chant. But it's a nice touch. I also like the concept of Nava's wolf pack being so connected with the Earth and the other animals (not to worry - I'm certainly not an environmental extremist...and I could not possibly be farther from being a member of PETA. lol). Though I wish they hadn't overdone it on Nava being some sort of Native Alaskan/Native American-style shaman, and I CERTAINLY wish they hadn't imparted him with seemingly magical powers. Those things were utterly stupid.
I also happen to like Aniu. She is an interesting character, and her voice actress did the role very, very well. The character's connection to her son is handled nicely.
Pretty much everything else about the movie, though? Especially the insipid songs (and "musical" quality), the inaccurate portrayal (once again) of the northwestern Alaskan environment, the terrible misuse and bad voice acting of Boris (as well as Muk and Luk), and the over-the-top angsty teen characterization of Aleu? And that freaking annoying terrier? Bad. Very, very, VERY bad.

And to go along with Aleu's bratty personality, I didn't like her voice. I don't know how to explain it, but it just made the character even more annoying.

Just seen WQ today and it's awesome. But there are some things I would like to point out, first, I think it's the fact that they introduced that ''native alaskan'' concept/stories into the movie. It's pretty awesome and yeah. About Aleu, well.....she's cute. I don't mind her personality at all, I think it's a pretty good designed charchter. Now moving on to Balto itself, they made him....well....very different from the first movie. I mean, even in WoC he's more similar with his first appearance rather than the WQ one. Now the final thing it's.........NAVA lmao. I couldn't stand him at all, I mean, interesting charchter and all of that. But he seems really like all over the place. xD
And then again there's the crappy animation wich destroys everything. About this, I know it was low budget film, but really....it's more than worse at the animation part, and I understand, low budget etc, etc. But still.....looks like of those 1 hour special episodes from some cartoons XD. That's how bad and neglected it's this movie. Universal really didn't give too many attention when they made this. It also kinda ruined the feeling of the first movie. But otherwise, I liked it. 6/10

/sites_co ... 104164.jpg I guess I like this part right here with Balto and Jenna's pups. When one of the Jenna looking pups says " I'm excited too. I can't wait to get a human and chew on their socks. (Laughs)." I don't know why I like that part. But I do. Maybe because it's fun intimating that little kid voice. I don't know why I like it. But I do.

WQ it's awesome, in my opinion. Afterall without these sequels we would still only have the original Balto movie that came out in 1995. In my opinion, I find nothing wrong with both of them sequels. Sure, it may have bad animation, but does that matter? Both of them extends Balto's adventures and I like the y' know, concept.

Not on topic, but the abuses to grammar in some of the posts in this topic are painful to the eyes. And migraine-inducing.
