There's a difference between a serious fan and a fanboy. Shadow's somewhere on the line.

He's got his interests, and we each have ours. He certainly wouldn't be the first among fans to lean specifically towards a certain character or character pairing ( canon pairing or some whacked-out fan-shipped one). Perhaps it's not best to focus on that here.

True that.
Although I sometimes wonder if I come on here more to talk about the movie or to talk with some of the members on here. It's about equal, I think.

Besides, unless it's a matter of playful jest back and forth, the mods frown on that sort of thing here. And even sometimes upon just playful jesting.

If the mods frown upon trying to have fun on a fan site, then that's their problem, and I won't go into that. (No offense to the mods BTW.)
And I agree with you; my bad. It's just the fact that we're friends.

I have to agree with that a bit because last year i was thrashed because i wasn't following the rules correctly and not being realistic about Balto, poor spelling, always getting into fights for Balto 4..... I'll admit that after i was bounced from this site, i hated balto bacause of it. but when i came back to the site, i became a fan again.

A bit of playing around is one thing; obsessing over something that we've already established several times will NOT happen is something else. Again, it's the personalities for me, and that falls inside the border of "playing around."

But one should not have to try to go out of there way to persuade someone that miracles cannot happen. If, for example, i want to believe Balto 4 will one day happen, then no one should get in the way of that. When you're obsessed for another film, you're obsessed for another film: you can't ever be persuade because you're so in love for the film idea. It's for the good of the citizens and the site if people just steered clear of trying to make Balto 4 junkies disbelieve. (Just putting that out there. I'm not trying to bait an argument.) (And, yes, this is ON TOPIC because it involves fandom for Balto)

The thing is that there's no point in believing it. Universal closed down their studio, which means unless they sell the rights (and I don't know who would risk buying them), there is no chance of a Balto 4.
Basically, what I gather is that your fandom is maintained by hope of another movie. While there's nothing wrong with that in itself, I find it kind of odd.

My fandom has never been concentrated in the faith and hope that a fourth installment would become reality, i was just looking forward to it. I'm fine with that Balto films the way they are.

Honestly, I think what keeps me a fan is that I continue to do fan works of it (such as videos and fan images, etc.). I used to watch it every night when I was younger, but since we're talking about now, that's pretty much what keeps me going in the Balto fan base. Not to mention this site...

What has kept me a fan is probably this site.
I love the animation in the movie, and love the movie itself. The story has always amazed me, but I think that this site has really been what kept me loyal to Balto.
