BACKGROUND

Kingsway High was a regular, ordinary school before it became subject to secret political play. Well, at least before Jake Westin, a 11th year student heard something he shouldn't have: the headmasters chair is comfortable, and more than one teacher is planning a coup to get it. But the teachers in question took action, planning a school trip to the Cascade Range of Cordilleras for a little climbing. And in the midst of all the chaos Jake would vanish, or rather, get shot by a hired assassin. But will the teachers' plan go their way? And will Jake eventually uncover the truth?

Personality: Ambitious, realistic. She's driven and looks out for herself first and foremost, but still cares for the people around her. Giving yet pragmatic, she's perfect at judging what she needs and what she doesn't. Generally a straight forward person, and sometimes a bit too honest. However, she's perfectly capable of using just a bit of manipulation to get what she needs. Generally humorous and does not mind laughing at herself.
History: Lived a good portion of her life in an orphanage. Her mum gave her away because she couldn't afford to keep her. She was quite popular amongst the workers as she was cheeky, yet comparably well-behaved. However, this was not a good starter point for a career. Luckily, eventually she married this guy, Robert, who was good at what he did and made a fair bit of money. Once her income was stable, she re-visited her education, had a few kids, and eventually got a job herself.
Appearance: Victoria has short, pixie-cut hair dyed a dark, butterscotch blonde color. She's a bit chubby, short and grounded with wide hips and strong legs. Gesticulates almost never and keeps her cool in interaction. Vickie has fair skin blotched with freckles and green eyes that her husband seems to envy. Wears a lot of pantsuits.

Personality: Robert is hard working and earnest. Compared to his wife, he's mellow, but around other people he can still be a bit high-strung. He knows very well how to plan and how to keep things safe and stable, although oddly enough, sometimes experiences a bit of a wanderlust. Despite his need for safety, he sometimes appreciates a change of pace. Robert is very loving to his immediate family, but can be a bit skeptical of those he's not familiar with.
History: Was a young boy from a rural town, living amongst his humongous family. While one of the youngest of the crew, he had his fair share of work as the family owned a huge farm. As time went on, some siblings continued the family business, some stayed close but got other jobs and some decided to really, truly, move. Robert was one of the last group - he needed a change of pace. He started off as a simple construction worker in the new town. The projects got bigger, the income got larger. He met this young woman in the town, Vickie and he fell hopelessly in love. Eventually the two started a family.
Appearance: Robert sports short salt and pepper hair or at least what's left of it due to his highly receded hairline. He's also extremely tall, with rough dark skin and rugged features, softened slightly by his dimples. Unlike the stoic appearance of his wife, when he talks, he does it with his hands, though gently and slowly.

Personality: The responsible sibling. Hard working, quiet, generally fairly passive and allows things to happen to him unless he really wants something or he needs to make a decision. Can be full on intense when working on something, therefore, bad at teamwork. Otherwise cheerful and relaxed, though is fine with a bit of friendly competition. A planner, always has something up his sleeve. Whichever group he's in, he's always the mom-friend, which he accepts begrudgingly.
History: Two years of being pampered by his parents and having their full attention and then having it all suddenly shift onto this little brat who keeps crying if you do not give him candy ensured a rocky relationship. As a kid, Johnathan did not like his brother, though eventually accepted and befriended him. With time their relationship slowly shifted to a much better one. John was fairly well-liked elementary through high school - he was smart, good looking, plus the best person to copy homework off. Decided to get into engineering after graduating and he studies maybe 30 minutes from home.
Appearance: Though shorter than his younger brother (which is something that bothers him more than should), his shoulder to waist ratio might be that of a dorito. John has fair, smooth skin, blue eyes, full lips, and impressive muscles. He doesn't really get the term "dress to impress", though, and always prioritizes comfort. Hoodie over dress shirt, any day.

Personality: Dawson has an observant eye and a sharp mouth. He can snatch any opportunity in it's wake and he can be very persuasive if he wants to be. However, most of the time he is perfectly content sitting on the couch watching TV, and no one could convince him being outside is a better use of time than uploading another video to his Youtube account. He's quite laid back and relaxed, and he definitely inherited his mom's sense of humor. Dawson has vague ambitions in life, sure, but the whole path towards achieving them is mysterious to him. And while no one would hear a word about this he is a bit terrified of it.
History: He was born during the most plentiful time for the family and therefore had to deal with being babied 99 percent of the time. His needs were taken care of, but no one actually cared what he had to say. The result: someone who could run his mouth forever, whether arguing, complaining, or making jokes. Thorough early school years he also acquired a certain sort of charm, which solidified him as a fairly popular kid for most years of his life. Eventually moved some to study English literature.
Appearance: Dawson's tall of height, thin in shape and dark and messy of hair. It's all a little Edward Cullen in shape, which he somehow fails to realize. The college student sports a pair of glasses with a thicker, dark rim, and has dimples that make everyone around sigh. What makes him less attractive, however, is his 'let's put on the first thing I see in the closet' attitude. He is not that fashionable a guy.

Personality: Independent and curious, that's two ways to describe Annabelle. She likes to have fun and stay in the moment. She also tries to keep true to herself no matter what and do her own thing. Anna is definitely not averse to working, and is pretty good at what she finds interesting. The rest she has some trouble with, though, and often finds it difficult to focus. She's outspoken and humorous, though will stand up for herself when needed. In conclusion, Annabelle is inquisitive, innovative, and though it's hard to see, a little insecure about her shortcomings. She's terrified of having herself slip up at her grades again.
History: Any attempts to care for this particular child were mostly cut short. Throughout her childhood, she acquired a lot of minimal and a few major injuries simply due to a natural curiosity and a complete inability to stay still. She was a bit of a problem during elementary and middle school. Too distracted, too noisy, too active. She wasn't especially popular either; the other kids were often put off by her brash nature. However as time went by and with the help of people around her Anna matured a little and made friends, while still trying to keep as authentic to herself as she could be.
Appearance: Anna is a slight girl. She's short, with a narrow waist and a delicate frame. Her skin is fair and slightly freckled, while her eyes are a deep, green-tinted blue. Her hair falls just a little below her shoulders, all a light, natural red. Really, her appearance tends to betray her cheerful nature; whether by her wide, beaming smile or her simple yet bright and colorful wardrobe.

Personality: Focused and driven. She likes to work hard and play hard. Sometimes a bit impulsive, she loves the fresh scent of new experiences but once she gets into something she's thorough. Michelle is not someone easy to approach, often seeming disinterested or aloof. Honestly, she's just not very good at this communication thing. However, the friends she makes? She will value them for life. Incredibly loyal and protective, harming the people she loves is one sure way to make her mad.
History: There was already a kid in the family once she has been born; her half-brother from mother's side, Marcus. They fought a whole lot and Marcus often tried to push her down, which prompted Michelle to become even more determined and focused. But despite the fact they would constantly tease and mock each other, the family was fairly happy. There was enough money, and they bought a labrador Buddy, who became Michelle's top responsibility and her best friend. Her parents were rather different, and eventually they found those differences to be too great for them to hang around each other. They began fighting a lot and eventually split up. She was only 8 when they divorced, and her mother moved to the opposite side of town, taking Marcus with her.
Appearance: Michelle is fairly tall and broad-shouldered, with a lithe, athletic frame and dark skin. She sports her long, curly hair loose on her back. It's deep dark brown at the top fading into a brighter honey. Michelle's eyes are as dark as coal, curtained by a set of heavy eyelashes, mostly so due to being coated in numerous layers of mascara. This girl often sports a grin that makes her look like she knows the secrets of the universe, and a stance relaxed enough to make her seem like she's totally cool with it.

Personality: May likes to appear as friendly as possible. She enjoys having a good time with her friends, and will often seem fairly relaxed. Truly, she's actually a bit of a worrier - she just doesn't want to let that show and upset anyone else. But when she let's someone in, her emotions can be pretty explosive. She feels things deeply and is a complete perfectionist. Though she'd never let that show she's also very easy to upset; she just hides it behind a more socially acceptable mask. May is also a hopeless romantic, hoping one day to find her prince charming.
History: May came from a fairly wealthy family. She's always been an only child and had a lot of responsibility put on her shoulders; her parents were rather harsh people, not tolerating any kind of rebellious behaviour. She excelled in school socially and academically, though it was still a lot of pressure. She took her mind off things by taking photographs or hanging out with her friends. She also goes on dates with her love interests, but she has yet to find someone she really feels something for.
Appearance: May is slim and delicate, though towering - tallest girl in her class. Plus, there's the slightly intimidating prospect of her graceful posture and outright unnatural ability to keep her cool. May sports medium length black hair. Sometimes it's curled, sometimes it's straight - that depends on her mood. Her skin is rather pale, which makes for an interesting contrast to her aforementioned hair, her dark eyes and rather heavy make up. She follows what's in and what's not when it comes to fashion, all while still doing her own thing. Still, she prefers to look fairly casual and will sometimes just throw on a shirt and shorts.

Personality: Ian is extremely sociable. He thrives in any crowded enviroment, provided he's the center of it. That's true, Ian is arrogant and definitely a show-off, seeing himself as better than most everyone around. He also has quite the sense of humor. He likes to have a good laugh and is perfectly fine with getting it out at other's expense, especially when it comes to people outside his elite group. Ian is very cliquish and also competitive. If someone's not a part of his group, they're going down.
History: Ian Cooper came from a fairly rich family in a very varied neighborhood.As a child he led many, befriended few, and when Angie was born he saw her the same way. However, there was one kid he came to treat as equal - Marcus Pines. Despite being not quite as wealthy or concerned with status, he never backed down. It annoyed Ian some but they eventually became best friends and fast rivals. Ian's dad was the headmaster of a school not too far from his home, and when Ian found out Marcus was going there too, he was ecstatic. However, their friendship did not last as Marcus started hanging out more and more with people Ian deemed below their level. Their ways split, but they were still stuck in the same school - so they tried their best to make each others life a living hell.
Appearance: Short, stylish, and confident - that would be Ian Cooper. He's barely 5'7, though his personality more than makes up for that. His hair is short, light brown in color, and styled perfectly with no hair out of place. Brown deep eyes and a dimpled smile, it's no wonder people like him. As for clothing, he likes everything that reminds of the streets, though all that through a rich kid lens.

Personality: Angelica Cooper is a little stuck-up. Stubborn, she loves to get her way, but is very soft-spoken and gentle to those who don't dare question her. She can be doubtful, indecisive and insecure at times, however, thus not making a very good leader. Angie, really, is an idealist at her core - in love with love and romance, peace and happiness and willing to be forceful in order to get there, even if she's not sure what's the road like.
History: She was born a year after Ian did. They fought an unbearable lot, what with both being stubborn and spoiled. It was a little embarrassing being the child of the headmaster, and with her good grades she was often accused of getting special privileges. She didn't let it get to her, however, and just continued using her good results to spite her older brother. However, it was little irritating that while very much well-known around the school, Angie found herself a little lower on the food chain of the school than her brother. At least their continued fighting and competition has definitely built up some fame and recognition.
Appearance: Angelica is soft featured; tiny and petite, barely standing 5'1 in height and is slender as a swan. It surely comes a surprise when this innocent seeming girl lashes out; her extremely long blond hair and doe brown eyes don't help. The few harsher features of her look are probably her high cheekbones, angled brows and long nails, but that's it. As for her wardrobe she likes cute and elegant clothing, short poofy skirts and dark tights.

Personality: In one word, Marcus is intense. He's loud and sarcastic and he believes in fighting fire with fire. There's rare a moment when he's not cracking a joke at the expense of people outside his circle, and he can really be quite insensitive. Well, except for when he sees someone getting hurt for no reason. He'll make sure to defend the underdog with his life and probably take them under his wing. He's incredibly passionate and vocal about what he believes in. He's also quite thick skinned, incredibly competitive and rebellious. He has a very strong bond with his friends and would do most anything for them - if you can stand his intensity and never betray him, he'll be loyal forever.
History: Born in an upper-middle class family with a very varied neighborhood [ from working class to people dripping in riches ], he was acquainted with so many different people. But even as a child, he mostly greeted them with stubborn and competitiveness. However, he took a liking to one of the kids next door, a rich kid named Ian Cooper, just as stubborn as he was despite being a year younger. They soon became best of friends and also rivals in everything, but fate was very intent on their lives mirroring Marcus' mom's and dad's, whom split up [his mom moved and took him with her]. As they grew they found themselves understanding each other less and less. As Marcus moved, he found himself in a much worse off social position, since much of his family's combined income was provided by his dad. He became much more empathetic towards the unfortunate, which upset Ian even more. Eventually, after a grave argument they found themselves enemies rather than friends.
Appearance: Marcus is and has always been a skinny kid. He's not tall and lanky or petite and girly - his height is moderate and his limbs are fairly proportional, he just lacks enough meat on his bones. Marcus has dark curly hair, framed with a sharp undercut. In general, he's not afraid to be a little less than macho. His preferred colors to wear are either soft pastels or black and his shirts often have odd motifs - from deep space to unsettling glitch images. He tends to wear lots of boots and in general is quite partial to the punk style.

Personality: Thomas is a fairly quiet person. He is of deep belief that one should only say what they absolutely must and he does not waste his breath. Direct, straight forward and to the point, though he's capable of being tactful depending on the situation. He is incredibly flexible and is capable of dealing with a bunch of different people and environments. He really doesn't mind. Taking off his serious, no-nonsense facade he is really quite adventurous and he likes to have fun.
History: Born to a mid class family in the suburbs he was the only kid for quite a while. This, mixed with his parents' firm personalities prompted him to be a serious and a responsible person. But this seemed to fade as he grew. He got to college but despite seeming so sure of himself he never really knew what he wanted to do, and his mind traveled towards adventure. One summer his college friends invited him for a trip which involved a lot of extreme and adrenaline inducing sports. Needless to say, he fell in love with them. He also fell in love with one of his friends, and the two got married. But he wasn't the best husband and she got frustrated with his expensive and dangerous expeditions. They divorced, and he followed his path to become an instructor and a guide for those interested in climbing.
Appearance: Thomas is a lean mean climbing machine. Just a bit more toned than the average person, with strong shapely arms and square shoulders. He has dark skin with several blemishes there and there and large eyebrows that seem to compliment his also broad forehead. And the very short, clean, well controlled curls on the top of his head are often hidden by whatever hat is appropriate for the season. His sense of fashion in general is fairly simple - clean, lots of layers and neutral colors.

Personality: Liza is sweet, kind and humorous. She is quite witty and very capable of poking fun at herself and others, though never in a mean-spirited manner and she knows when to stop. She can read the atmosphere of the room well and she likes to keep harmony. However, this can lead to her being seen as too nosy as she tries her best to learn about and cater to everyone. This trait of hers can also lead her to being downright manipulative and she is perfectly capable of lying to get what she wants. Speaking of that, she is also quite determined and ambitious. If she has a goal in her mind you can bet she's going to get it done.
History: Liza came from a big and loving family, though her life was not especially fortunate. Her mom and died both died when Elizabeth just turned 11, so her older siblings had to take care of her. Still, she tried to not let this drag her down, and she excelled in class. From day one, she wanted to teach other kids and help people through education. With fierce determination she achieved her goal but yet she finds herself setting her sights on a different position - that of a headmaster - and get more spoils.
Appearance: Elizabeth has a full hourglass figure. With her constant use of high heels, her aura warm but commanding as she holds herself tall and straight. She has a short haircut, all straight edges, and her clothing tends to follow the same way - suits with skirts, not a lot of color with maybe one or two warmer details, like jewelry. However, her look is warm and her face expressive. She is often seen with a broad smile on her face as she looks to her students, enthusiastic to help them learn.
