Well, since I started TotN: TaT, why don't you start this one, Wolfie? Take it away!

Wait, should we post in colors, or just leave it plain and simple in black?

Since we're the only ones, I think it's easier in just black. -nods-

Now enough chitchat! Let's start!

Rue alighted in a tree softly, the thin cresent moon shining over head, the stars dotting the black velvet sky. She held onto the branch, the rouch bark cool and strong against her hands. Her wins were spread out behind her, the moon glinting off her tawny feathers that were hot after the exercise. A smile lit up her face, flying always filled her with such joy, swooping around the sky, her wings working powerfully to keep her aloft. Her hair was windblown and her eyes were bloodshot from the constant and frigid wind that blew high in the atmosphere, and she looked down, the ground easily swimming into focus with help from her enhanced brown eyes.

Setsuko glanced around the forest, eager to begin the camping trip. "This is so excited!" She informed her parents for the 50th time that day. Jaci, the young Blue Lion that she kept as a pet, was bouncing around her, mewling with equal delight. The two jumped around lightly and joyfully until Setsuko's mother asked them to stop. "Sorry," Setsuko giggled. "But we haven't been camping in so long!" Her father laughed. "You may be the only thirteen-year-old girl I know who thinks that." Setsuko grinned widely.

Rue saw Lark emerge from the still visible house, falling from a window, then rising as his dark wings lefted him high, catching an air current. She stood up, her wings enabling her to balance on the tree branch. She fell off, tumbling into a flip before flaring her wings, allowing them to catch the air. She coasted on a warm air current, her wings moving automatically and without thought to keep her from going 2-demensional.

"Hey Lark," she said to her dark haired and winged brother.

:Hey Rue," he greeted quietly in return, ever so much like his dad, Fang.

Setsuko tried her best to calm down. "So where are we going to stay in the forest? Right in the middle, or on the outside? What nation are we in now? How long are we out here, huh, Mother?" Her mother looked confused. "I'm not sure. Aang?" She turned to Setsuko's father. "We're in the Earth Kingdom right now..." "That's where Samiia lives...!" Setsuko interrupted. "That's right. And we'll probably stay close to the outside, but we'll take a hike. And maybe we'll stay a few days, depends on how your mother complains..." "Aang!!" "Sorry, Katara." Setsuko giggled...she always found it funny when her father seemed to fear his wife. "Ok," She said, excitement quickly dripping back into her voice. "Let's go!" "Wait, wait, wait." Setsuko paused. Aang smiled at her. "You'll need this before we venture out there. Setsuko's confused expression quickly changed. "Oh, my glider! Thanks, Father. Now let's go!" The three set off into the forest, Jaci bounding beside Setsuko.

Rue coasted on a column of rising air, which was warm for a change, unlike the frigid air surrounding her. Lark angled his wings and streamlined his body, coasting upawrd to fly beside her, his dark eyes looking at her, showing happiness. THey all got the same kick out of flying, her and the rest of her 'siblings'. She considered all of them her siblings, as they lived together, but she was only truly related to Max and Fang, her parents, and Lark, her brother.

"Race you!" Rue cried suddenly, tucking her wings in and diving towards the grassy ground.

Lark flew after her, a smile on his face. He showed his emotions more easily than dad did, he just wasn't good at doing it verbally. He completly folded his wings in, instead of leaving them partway open, and angled his bidy so where his feet were flying bihind him, his body at a steep slant. He fell past Rue, the strong wond forming tears in his eyes.

Rue followed his exapmle and dropped like a rock, but he had the gain on her. The rush was soon over, and she flared her wings out before hitting the ground, the tawny feathers flaring and spreading out to form a light sail that caught the air.

Lark opened his wings after hearing the whoosh of his sister's opening, his dark wings looking purple in the moonlight.

"Can we set up camp here?" Setsuko asked eagerly. Her parents surveyed the clearing. "Well...alright. It is a pretty nice spot," Katara admitted. Aang smiled. "That works, then." And with that, he began to set up the tents. "Yes!" Exclaimed Setsuko. She turned to her mother. "Can Jaci and I go explore for a while? I promise we'll come back soon!" "Well..." Katara looked unsure for a moment. "I don't know if that's a good idea...it's getting dark..." "Oh, let her go, Katara. She said she'd be back soon." Still unsure, but convinced enough by Aang's words, sighed and nodded. "Go ahead." "All right!" Setsuko whooped, running off into the forest, Jaci not far behind.

A cool breeze blew over Rue as she began to soar upward, now ahead of Lark. It smoothed her ruffled feathers, making her eyes close in pleasure for a brief moment.

Lark soared upward, his wings beating smoothly to catch up with her. HE soon was flying next to her, and the beat their wings carefully as not to hit eachother.

Setsuko stared around the swiftly darkening forest, unable to recognize anything. "Maybe we went too far in, Jaci," She suggested tentatively. Jaci emitted a soft yowl of agreement, pawing the ground nervously. "Should we head back?" Setsuko asked. Affirmative mew. "Alright," Setsuko turned round, staff held high to fight off anything that might come towards them. But all she could see was blackness in all directions. She would probably have to rely on Jaci's acute senses to get out of this situation.

ooc--They can meet up at any time now...as soon as Rue's ready.

ooc- Ok, that'll work then.

Lark shivered slightly as a colder breeze blew over them. RUe personally didn't mind it, but Lark was like Max, would prefer to be in Hawaii or on Panama Beach then somewhere's cold. SHe loved the cold though, ecspecially when it snowed.

"I'm going in," Lark said breifly, then angled his wing and headed back to the house, which seemed so small now.

Rue shrugged, soaring in a huge arc, smiling again. She fl;ew farther away from the house, mindless of how far she would fly. A while later, she couldn't even see the house anymore, and she turned her head in the direction she thought it was. SHe heard leaves rustling nearby, and whirled to see where it was coming from. Rue struggled to turn away from it, but she rammed into it, dazing her. Her breath left her chest, and she started to fall, crashing through the trees before she opened her wings again. When the branches ended, as the seemed to be fairly high up off the ground in this part of the forest, she flung her wings open, stopping her fall at the last possible second. She breathed out a sigh of releif, landing lightly on the ground, still dazed.

A sharp crash sounded behind the two. Setsuko gasped and whipped around. Jaci moaned loudly and ran towards the sound. Setsuko swiftly followed, listening for Jaci's pawsteps. She sat on her knees where Jaci had stopped. Blinded by the darkness, she reached out to feel whatever was in front of her. She promptly pulled her hand back when she felt what she though was skin. Listening closely, Setsuko could hear breathing, light, yet pained. Keeping her staff at ready, she spoke. "Hello?"

Rue blinked, seeing a girl appear, holding a staff at the ready, blinded by the dark.

"Hello," Rue replied tentavily, her own fists held at the ready, just in case. A large, cat of some sort was standing next to the girl.

Setsuko jumped back, a bit shocked at the prompt reply. It was a human, she could tell that much, a girl, by the sound of the voice. "H...hello," she repeated, for lack of better response, and lowered her staff ever-so-slightly. "Who are you?" She hoped desperately that her voice wasn't shaking. Though she couldn't see very well in the darkness, she could tell from the low rumbles coming from her pet's throat that Jaci was standing on his toes, back arched, fur raised.
