Now don't get me wrong, Scar is a very good villain-I like his cunning, manipulative nature and how he convinces a little kid he killed his own father.

But, let's face it, the guy isn't exactly mature. He's not a manchild in the stereotypical sense, as in he doesn't have the personality of a little kid like, say, Homer Simpson, Peter Griffin, or even Disney's Prince John, well except for when he's getting angry in a few scenes, but the way he thinks can be rather immature. I mean he only wants to be king for the power and even says "I'm the king! I can do whatever I want!" and he does get jealous of a little kid for having it, like how another kid would get jealous of a child for having some privilege they don't have.

What are your thoughts on this?

Yeah. But he was just gone mad ton become king. Or maybe because he was like this that's why he wasn't made the king?

In a sense I believe that Scar behaved somewhat immaturely, however I don’t perceive him to have been ‘immature’. Whilst his motives were rather childish, he had the mind of a fully matured male. Perhaps as a young cub he envied Mufasa and as he grew this progressed into hatred. A child who envies another, acts without thought, they do as they please in ‘the heat of the moment’ and then later regret their actions. But Scar did not do this; in fact he did the opposite of this. His motivations developed and he schemed behind his brothers back for years before finally making a move. By befriending the hyenas, creating a stampede, achieving to have both Simba and Mufasa placed perfectly into his plans and then convincing Simba that it was in fact his own fault was something that was done out of severe anger and jealousy and could have only been accomplished by someone with an extremely intelligent mindset. Scar was not acting immaturely but more so was blinded by his own constant hatred which is something even the most mature adult is capable of doing. :D

Scar is a mastermind and can be incredibly deceiving, but he's acting on frustration and resentment, which can never makes you seem mature. ironically enough, Simba in TLK2 shares this characteristic and acts on emotions, fear, anger and resentment, which makes him a bad king at first. The only difference is that he doesn't have to die because he learns something in the end. Scar is so blinded by his wish to be powerful and king and his resentment to be born the youngest of his family that he'd rather die than not have things his way (despite being an exceptionally bad king).
