I can’t believe no one has made this post before-I did do a search.

What are your favourite TLK scenes in all movies?

I can only say my favourites from TLK1 as I haven’t seen Simba’s pride for years and haven’t seen TLK 1 ½.

My favourites (not in order)
When samba becomes king-I love this part the music and the animation.

The ‘Can You Feel the love tonight’ scene –same as above

Under the stars (gohst mufasa)-same as above

That’s it for me

I would say Mufasa's death, the ghost-Mufasa scene and when Simba becomes king after he defeated Scar. All of them are very powerful scenes, in my opinion.

When Sarabi walks through the rows of hyenas to confront Scar.*shudders*

I think the scenes that moved me were

Mufasa's Death- Wow that was sad!
Mufasa's Ghost- words cannot describe it
The song "We Are One"- I sing that EVERY DAY and i want part of to be my Balto Source signature, it was beautiful- WE ARE ONE, YOU AND I WE ARE LIKE THE EARTH AND SKY
Zira's song- It's moving, powerful- AND THEN OUR FLAG WILL FLY, AGAINST A BLOOD RED SKY, THATS MY LULLABY

When Simba dunked Nala.

The scene with Simba and Mufasa's body & the "Can You Feel the Love Tonight" scene.

I love when Scar sings "Be Prepared"
The "Can You Feel the Love Tonight?" scene
When Simba becomes king
When Rafiki does Kung Fu on the Hyenas, while Simba and Scar are fighting
When Timon Hula dances to distract the Hyenas

I likes Scar's song Be prepared, it's one of my favourite! and the scene of Mufasa's death, to be specific when Scar said Long live the king!

When Sarabi took a hyena down from behind,it was really good that she helped her son Simba.

For TLK 1, my favourite scenes are, well almost everything. I know almost every single line in that movie, off by heart. I used to watch it every day when I was eight, and now I watch it at least thrice a year =) Although, I am quite fond of this particular part;

Nala: What's happened to you? You're not the Simba I remember.
Simba: You're right, I'm not. Now are you satisfied?
Nala: No, just disappointed.
Simba: You know you're starting to sound like my father.
Nala: Good. At least one us of does.


Oh man, that last line, it gives me chills. This scene is why I love Nala. I really wish they would've given her a bigger part in TLK 2, because seriously, she deserved it! But that's another story. For my favourite TLK 2 scene, would have to 'One of Us'. That scene was so dramatic, this was the first time I'd ever cried during a movie. Andn the lyrics, too. The general tune, and all the animal crowded for the hearing, and chasing him away, and singing, like that awesome hippo with the bass voice.

If I knew how to rip DVD's I'd so be making a TLK2 music video for 'Love Story' by Taylor Swift, because everytime I hear that song, this movie is just what I think of. Of course, both the song and the movie are based off 'Romeo and Juliet' so it's really no surprise there. =)

i would've watched it A LOT more ... but my video broke. i was devastated, ;__;
i watched it whenever i could when i was at a friend who owned the video's house xDD it was my favourite, and still is. <3

anyway, gotta say I agree with you on that quote. And Simba's reply is awesome;

"Listen, you think you can just show up and tell me how to live my life?! You don't even know what I've been through!"
"I would if you'd just tell me!"
"Forget it."
"Fine!"

aaaaaanyway. back on-topic ( sorry ^^; )

For some reason, i've had this particular quote stuck in my head for a few days now;

"Everything you see exist together in a delicate balance. As King, we need to understand that balance, and respect all the creatures. From the crawling Ant ... to the leaping Antelope."
"But Dad, don't we eat the Antelope?"
"Yes, Simba, but let me explain. When we die, our bodies become the grass. And the Antelope eat the grass. And so ... we are all connected in the Great Circle of Life."

such a beautiful scene. <3

and then there's the Stampede scene, and Mufasa's death.
Epic.
a truly unforgettable and breathtaking scene.
and of course, utterly heartbreaking.
i truly salute Disney for this. Using the parent of the main character's death as an important part in the film.

and then when Simba and Nala re-unite.
and fall in love.
and then get into an argument.
lol. xD

OOH, and the scene when Simba's running across the desert.
and then a faded, slow-motion image of his legs and feet sort of play over it.
i just love the music, and the scene itself looks really great. ^^

and, of course,
Simba claiming his rightful place as King.
walking proudly up Pride Rock.
his friends and family watching with amazed and adoring eyes.
the rain, the expression, the absoloutely incredible music...
and to top it all off...
"Remember.."
beatiful.




i don't have any particular 'favourite' scenes of TLK2.
it was all pretty good. of course, nowhere near as good as the first.
but still pretty good. (:

I like the opening scene. My second favorite scene was when Timon confronted simba with a leaf of bugs.

Wow, that's a tough one! I love all of The Lion King Film but here's some of my favourite bits:
*During Pouncing lesson with Mufasa, Simba and Zazu*
*Simba pounces on Zazu*
Mufasa: *laughs in an incredible Mufasa-ish sort of way * That's very good. *laughs again* Now, this time you-
Hahaha! So much for respecting all living creatures there Mufasa, no wonder Simba left his responsibilities! Just kidding. Oh and this scene:
Zazu: Oh, look, sire. The herd is on the move.
Mufasa: Odd...
Scar: Mufasa, quick! Stampede, in the gorge. Simba's down there!
Mufasa: Simba?!
Just the total look of desperation in Mufasa's eyes and the shocked way he says Simba are so powerful. Oh, and of course the saddest scene ever!
Simba: Dad? Dad come on, you gotta get up. Dad! Dad, come on, we gotta go home.
*sniffs* That bit is so heartbreaking. We'll finish with two funny ones. This:
Mufasa: *sighs* What am I going to do with him? (Scar.)
Zazu: He'd make a very handsome throne rug.
Mufasa: Zazu!
Zazu: And just think, every morning you can take him out and beat him.
Mufasa: *chuckles*
But Mufasa would probably never dream of doing that, being the fantastic lion that he is! The last one:
Sarabi: Your son is awake.
*Simba is heard in background: Dad, dad, dad, dad e.t.c
Mufasa: Before sunrise, he's your son.
Heehee. Well, you'll be glad that's the end of my longest post!
