Personality: At first she seems all doom and gloom since she lost both her brothers during the great flood and seems to bring them up often when meeting new bears as a way to get sympathy.But overal she is pleasent and very sweet.her caring side outwins any other female and she can worry sometimes especially over Koda.She is shy to admit her feelings but very proud of who she is and can be a loud mouth as well as a bit of a bully and a tease

History: She grew up just outside the bear clan that Koda belongs to, Black bears tend to not get along at all with brown kodiak bears and them pairing off and mating is taboo.Hida was afraid of accidently revealing her forbidden parentage so jokes that she never gets baths and thats why her fur is so dark and black.She met Koda just as he was getting the lanky teenager stage.The two teased each other often and Hida being the eldest bullied Koda daily.Secretly she was fond of the cub and his infectious laugh but she refused to get attached to him or show him affection in any way.Koda however  wanted Hida to like him instead of bully him so one day made his feelings clear by licking her across the nose.Hida was overwhelmed with embaressment and pushed Koda into the river.The two parted ways then and met during the salmon run the next year. They had both grown considerably and the attraction was still there between the two.Now they were older they could put the awkward shyness behind them and grew close over the summer.
