History:
born from a female chosen to be the first mate of the leader of a bear clan, the three bear shamans and her father's right arm declared that the small neborn cub was a negative sign, a bad sign, as her pelt on her head, neck and back wasn't normally coloured with an orangeish-brown colour but it was reddish-brown, similar to blood. Even if her mother named her Yoki, the newborn was called Nukpana, evil. The cub had to be killed, as they sentenced. Her father had to agree, he had many other females that could give him more cubs, one less wouldn't change his life. However, her mother didn't share their same ideas. She gave the small cub to her sister and sent her into another territory, far from that current one, where she would find a place full of bears there for a Salmon Run. One of those bears is known to be a foster mother for many orphaned cubs and so, she could be a mother for Yoki too. Once the place was finally reached, the cub was left there. Yoki was different from the other cubs, she was very light coloured, fact that gave her an advantage during winter time but sometimes, it was the reason that made other cubs calling her names or making jokes on her. She tried to not give much care to those bad voices, even if she was hurt. One of her best friends,
Achak, also made sure to protect her from the other bullies. But when she was a year and half old, she wanted to know why she wasn't like the other cubs. She seeked for answers and she got some. She was from a different place and she was brought there in a hurry, in order to save her life. But the reason of why she was sent so far from her home remained a mystery. It wasn't enough for Yoki. The teen bear decided to get back to her real family, where she was sure to belong.
Achak didn't really like the idea of her going alone, he offered to go with her, two is better than one but Yoki didn't want her friend to get separated from his family and from his land, even if it was his own choice. However, she let him come with her until they reacher the borders of their territory. The journey she decided to take was long and definately not easy but she decided to leave anyway. She had to know.
