101 Dalmatians The Series is basically a mix between the original animated film and the live-action movie. It also seems to be set in 90’s America rather than England because of the American accents and modernized clothing, although Cruelle De Vil still has her English accent.

 

The series was originally named Dalmatians 101, but it was changed right before the show premiered on September 1, 1997. This series was part of the Disney Afternoon block, and ABC’s “One Saturday Morning” lineup. In 1999, the show was moved to Disney Channel and Toon Disney, airing reruns since the show stopped releasing new episodes in August 1998. It aired regularly on Toon Disney for quite a few years, finally pulling the plug in March 2007.

 

The story is set on a farm in the country, and revolving around the adventures of three specific puppies: Lucky the brave and adventurous, Rolly the hungry and loyal, and Cadpig, the small and smart. A female chicken named Spot is also a main character, joining the threesome on their adventures together.
