Personality: Before Widow Tweed gave him up (SPOILER), Bandit was very playful and friendly dog. Being adopted by the lady, he was trained and soon become obediant. Widow Tweed's neighbor, however, wanted Bandit as a hunting dog, and often offered to buy him. Of course, he couldn't live without his owner, and she couldn't live without him. After he had been given up, he became silent and mysterious. No one knows what happened to him, except that Cash was seen wearing the same red bandana that Bandit had.

History (Beginning): Bandit didn't remember much about his parents, but he did remember the cold nights on the streets while it rained. The box he was in didn't keep him dry, so he often had to fall asleep with a wet pelt. One day, while he was watching the cars go by, he spotted a car coming directly towards the box. The car pulled over beside it, and a woman hopped out of the open seat. She was smiling as she picked Bandit up, and he knew that she was going to take care of him.

History (Middle): Bandit lived with Widow Tweed for 3 years. The two enjoyed the time they spent together, except for the fact that their neighbor, Amos Slade and Chief, were often hunting around the forest surrounding their homes. Bandit's owner didn't like Amos, and they usually had their weekly fight about hunting. Amos would also attempt to buy Bandit from Widow Tweed, since he wanted to use him for hunting. Widow Tweed didn't want to sell her beloved dog, since he was her only company. However, due to circumstances, she was beginning to lose money quickly. It broke her heart that she had to give Bandit, a well trained and behaved dog, to Amos Slade, an imbocile who hunted wild animals like it was just a joke.

History (End): Amos was glad to have a new addition to his hunting team, but Bandit was devastated that his owner had just given him to a complete stranger. Chief immediately set some ground rules, even if Bandit was one year older than he was. Bandit didn't like the two right off the bat, so he came up with a plan to escape. He decided to act out of character; bark at Amos, fight with Chief until he would draw blood, attempt to rip up furniture. It was all a part of his plan. Amos didn't understand why Bandit was acting this way, but instead of keeping him he let the dog free. Bandit didn't return to Widow Tweed's house, nor back to his box. He lived in the forest. Here he would watch the town evolve as years went by, and he even joined a circus.

A man with a banjo had a group of puppies, and even a dog older than Bandit. Bandit had been known for the lead singer of the group, while Rose (Granny Rose) sang as the second. The pups, Floyd, Cash, Dixie, and Waylon sang as the back-up singers. The 6 of them all grew to like each other for a whole year, and at one point Cash thought of Bandit as his father. Before Bandit left the group, he gave his red bandana to the puppy that admired him the most. Now, he wanders the forests again, hoping to start a new life.
