When one compares the engaging and often hilarious characters in Toy
Story (and the great actors they chose for voicing them), and the Toy
Story scripts and story lines, to the rather predictable and vacuous
(IMHO) storyline, scripting and characters of Frozen, and the very
obvious attempt by Disney to create something simply for the sake of
product sales (even if they won't admit to it, though it is painfully
obvious whenever you walk into any discount department store, etc.),
then you quickly realize there is absolutely no comparison. ![]() The Toy Story...story...is a tender and often funny one. It makes you feel for Andy as he grows up through the three movies. And you feel the connection the toys have to him, and to each other. It's very deep and very moving. I was compelled, grudgingly, to sit through a complete viewing of Frozen when visiting my sister and her husband. My four-year old niece wanted me to watch it with her. And I did...with an eye on trying to make any sense of it. I made none. It lacked every bit of the true drama, humor and depth of Disney's greatest works of the past (distant or more recent). I didn't connect with it at all, and I couldn't possibly see how anyone over the age of 12 could. I just couldn't (and still can't). So I fervently hope that the second installment will be the end of it. XD |

There's no proof that a third film, which I hope doesn't happen, will
happen. It's a possibility, but I wouldn't say "it will" happen. Heck,
this second film could end up being a complete flop. I don't follow the Toy Story fandom since I'm not a fan, but I think it's starting to head down the road the Land Before Times movies did. And if I'm not mistaken, people weren't that overly impressed with the last movie. No pun intended, but I think Disney/Pixar needs to let Toy Story go and move on. |

It'll probably happen someday, anyway. Maybe in 10 years, but it will
definitely happen... Look, they're even make a Toy Story 4! |
