On April 18, 1983, 30 years ago today, The Disney Channel began broadcasting all over the world. In the last 30 years, it has aired numerous Disney movies, television series, and everything in-between. If you were born anytime after that date, chances are you watched Disney Channel a LOT growing up. It's awesome to see such a milestone from the company, considering their original reliance on ABC to broadcast their content. (They now own ABC. Coincidence?)
Below is a compliation of original promotions for The Disney Channel. It sure has changed a lot in the last 30 years, hasn't it?
In other news, yesterday at Cinemacon, Disney unveiled the progress being made on upcoming films, including some animated films. There was a shot from Pixar's next original film, "The Good Dinosaur", though it was limited to a single shot of dinosaurs in a field. By now there are confirmations that there will be few if any carnivorous dinosaurs in the film. A few preproduction stills have been released, but no in-film pictures or publicity photos. Now we at least have a clip - even if it's not on YouTube yet for public viewing. If you happen to be at Cinemacon, you can head over to the Disney booth and see the clip roll.
The next Pixar film, Inside Out, has a film logo. It's in black-and-white and relatively simple, which could mean they're attempting a black-and-white film. On top of all this, there were numerous clips from Monsters University, and a small preview of the next Disney film Frozen. There are no reviews allowed at this time, but if the anticipation is anything to go on, Frozen will definitely be a film to see come this holiday season.
More will be posted on these and all upcoming animated films as news is announced.

You make me smile
everyday!
