I guess I could have phrased that better; I didn't mean to imply that my thoughts on it were contentious to anyone's.

No one was talking down on my design, they were just sharing their thoughts. But thanks! The hub was more than overdue for a redesign.

I don't think there is an issue with the banner, people are just expressing their opinions about what should be on the banner. But if people aren't happy with the characters I've chosen to display, I can exchange them for another character. The only characters I won't change are Balto and Simba.

Thanks for the hub revamp, this was long needed! Now it looks more like an Animation site!

Maybe the solution for including more characters would be to refresh the banner once in a while...

I'm not doing anything more with the banner. I'm talking about the footer that appears at the bottom of the site.

I don't see the background as distracting either, since it is not even that easy to see unless one scrolls all the way to nearly the bottom of the page. It's nice to have a texture there.

As to characters, I think it shouldn't be too overcrowded, but should also only include characters from the sources which seem to be gaining a lot of activity. Certainly, too, honoring the original source (Balto Source) was necessary...and since The Lion King Source came second, that one too was necessary. But if we start expecting characters from every single source, the banner will end up far too busy to enjoy or even interpret.

I don't think the background is that distracting, but if anyone else find it distracting, I can make adjustments.

As for the footer, I'm open for ideas. I plan to include The Secret Life of Pets in it (Steet told me that any animated character can appear in the layout).

If I have to nitpick, I'd say that the coffee stain on the site background seems a little distracting, but other than that, I'm pretty happy with what you've constructed Mighty. The colours blend well, and the variety of characters is a nice touch.

Maybe you could put some CG animated characters for the footer graphic just like what the French side has. I would suggest an Over the Hedge character since the majority of OTH Source is completed, but its up to you who you put in there.

I can add them to a header. I'll also make a footer that includes other characters.
