With regular series composer John Powell stepping down from the series, the musical torch of Ice Age was passed on to John Debney, who composed and conducted the score for Ice Age: Collision Course.

Debney is a veteran composer known for his famous compositions in Cutthroat Island, Iron Man 2, The Jungle Book (2016), and the PlayStation 3 video game Lair. Alongside Ice Age 5, Debney has provided music to various animated features including Jetsons: The Movie (his movie debut), The Emperor’s New Groove, Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius, Chicken Little, The Ant Bully, The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water, and more.
