Personality: Champaign is sort of a classy female who loves to get her paws on the good things in life, but she does also enjoy the "other side" of life as well; dating the bad boys of the streets and getting into trouble was Angel's mother's way of life, too, and she was a very flirtatious girl when she was younger. She has a short temper at times, but that doesn't mean she can't be kind and caring; Champaign has this tendency to float from family to family, yet even when she finds a good one, Champaign never sticks around for long. Unlike her daughter, Champaign has little patient and tends to rush others, and herself, through things. She is sassy, street-smart, very brave and full of spunk; she has the ability to make a great comeback in almost any argument.

History
Unfortunately for her, Champaign can't conjure up important memories about her past; all she can remember is that she was left in the pound, cold, scared, and alone. She was only about five or six weeks old at the time and longed for someone, anyone, to comfort her and tell her that everything would be alright. Not too long after that, Champaign discovered that the dog in the cell next to hers, a Eurasier named Zorro, had found a way out. Lucky for her, the bars on that side of her cage were slightly bent open, it was enough space for her to squeeze through, and once she did, she, Zorro, and two other dogs who shard the Eurasier's same pin managed to escape through the hole he and his cagemates had dug. Ten minutes later, all four puppies were in the dim sunlight of the overcast afternoon sky; they stuck together for two entire days before going their separate ways. Zorro's "friends" had been taken from stray dog gangs around the city and left to return home, but Zorro had no gang or family to get back with, so he was going to start an adventure on his own when Champaign told him that she had nowhere to go. The Eurasier hesitated before allowing the spitz mix to travel with him.


Champaign continued to live with Zorro far into her teenaged years. Before, the two had a very bitter relationship with each other; if Zorro told Champaign to stay put, the younger dog would run off anyway. That only made Zorro want to get even with her, and if they had to attempt to do a teamwork mission, like stealing meat from the butcher, the male would run off, leaving Champaign alone and holding link sausages with an angry man wielding a butcher's knife at her. Soon, they learned to live with each other and abide by their rules. Later, when Champaign was just reaching adulthood, and Zorro was already two and a half years ahead of her, he finally confessed his love for the tannish colored female. Champaign immediately returned her feelings to him, feeling relieved that her feeling weren't one sided. Champaign and Zorro did everything together and soon, the female found out that she was pregnant. No doubt that her Eurasier mate was the father of her three puppies, and she was overjoyed to tell him, yet Zorro wasn't very happy. He had no intentions on being a father and told this to Champaign. He also said that if she couldn't "get rid of them" once they were born, it was no reason for them to be together anymore; Champaign knew what he meant and burst into a rage-filled fit, calling Zorro all types of names and eventually ran away. Nine weeks later, after many sleep deprived nights, Champaign gave birth to three puppies: Two boys and a girl whom she named a fre hours after their birth. Only six weeks into her new life with her puppies, they were taken away from her when she left them to find food. When she came back all of them, all three of her babies, were gone. Champaign's heart was ripped in two as she searched the alley and surrounding area for her puppies, still unsure of what or who took them. The tan dog didn't succeed in finding her puppies and, months later, she was able to live with a friend of her "sister's", Peg, who named himself the Tramp.

While she was living with the Tramp, the two started to date, but Champaign was also seeing other male dogs. Soon, she found herself pregnant again, but she didn't know who the father was. Tramp put her out so that she wouldn't claim him as the father. That move enraged Champaign, but she kept quiet about it and gave birth peacefully in the park. She was very lucky that she was able to watch these puppies grow up to be at least two moths old. Life then got hectic for her and her daughters Angel and Bunny, but, even though the dogcatcher was a never-ending threat to strays of all kinds and food was very scarce, Champaign vowed to never leave her daughters alone. That all changed when Angel and Bunny were taken by the dogcatcher, and though their mother fought a hard battle to keep the man from taking her babies, she lost in the end. Champaign was beaten by the handle of the man's net and, since she was very fragile from lack of nutrition, Champaign was easily defeated. Years passes since the incident and the dog stayed to herself; she rarely interacted with others and morned for all of her puppies and prayed that she would see them again one day.

Feature and death
Years later, Champaign finally finds Angel after searching almost her entire life for her; the two a happily reunited when the older dog found her sister, Peg, in the next city over. There, Peg gave Champaign a hint that she had received from another dog, telling her that the Tramp was living near the area where Champaign had resided to give birth to her litters in case her sister need his help. After a week of living with her sister, Champaign departs back home; once there, she finds her way to the Tramp's new home and discovers that he is a House Pet (she is slightly disgusted at that), but they greet each other warmly. Tramp introduces his old friend to his mate, Lady, and their three daughters. Suddenly, Scamp runs from around the house shouting, "You can't catch me, Angel!" and Champaign's ears perk up slightly at the name; she then sees a very familiar yellow puppy race around after Scamp and she immediately skidded to a stop. "M...Mom?" she questioned and Champaign nodded 'yes' with teary eyes. Mother and daughter reunite and Champaign visits Angel almost every day. Not too long after that, the older dog found her other daughter, Bunny, living as a House Pet on the other end of the city. Champaign manages to bring Bunny to meet her long lost sister and the family is together once again.

During the end of April, Champaign started suffering from horrid bouts of pain racking her internal organs and, on May 9, 1917, Champaign died from infectious canine hepatitis, leaving behind her two grieving daughters and in-laws.
