story : he was a pet first but he hated that life so his owners dumped him in a stormy nitght into woods . from then on diego loves to  be on it's own. one day he was searching for meat wagons so he can steal for lunch . unfortunetly  he mistook the meat wagon with a travel wagon . he jumped into it and got himself transported to alaska .  wen he gets there  he tries to get home . a fascinating story   and also a long one . when he finaly finds a train that could get him home the story ends . when he gets home he gets captured by the dogcatcher  , gets in the pound and meets jewel wich he falls in love with.The got really close to buster , having fun together chasing the dog catcher.Buster was like an uncle to them

     after a days from the escape they meet jewel's older sister lia wich diego falls in love with . however lia becomes diego's girlfriend , but not for long because lia get  jealous because of jewel , so diego did spent as much time with lia as he spends with jewel . in the end they break up after a few days from jewel's ,,death,,.

              without his best friend life got sensless until kody's sister appeard and she gets to be his new best friend . even though everybody sees mark as an ugly dog with disabilities  didn''t stopt diego from  falling in love with her . after she conscendes to tell diego her story she leaves town without a note.

            then diego meets a new beautiful dog named bella . he started to have  feelings for kody's girlfriend
