Name: Harold
Parents: Unknown
Gender: Male
Siblings: Unknown
Pups: None for now
Crush: Dame
Lover: Dame, Peg (past)
Friends: Open
Breed: Pembroke Welsh Corgi
Appearance: He is a red headed tricoloured corgi, and so like most of his breed he has short legs and his belly is quite close to the ground. His collar is dark green, and hangs losely around his neck.
Personality: While he is very intelligent, he is very calm and mature, as well as being very understanding of both humans and dogs feelings (Thus why his owners enrolled him as a therapy dog, and why many of the females in the neighbourhood adore him). However, he tends to get anxious when things are out of line, and tries continuously to keep others in check.
Likes: Listening, learning, long walks (as any dog would) and affection.
Dislikes: Dirt, strays/being stray, Tramp and the cold.
Relation to LATT: Former lover is Peg, and hates Tramp.
History:
Harold was born into a poor family: They could scarcely look after one dog, and when she had pups, they could no longer take it: They had to abandon their pups. With heavy hearts, they left Harold and his litter in a cardboard box down an alleyway.
`The pups were merely 3 days old: there was no way they'd survive- But Harold was the strongest. Oblivious to the world, his brothers and sisters slowly died around him, little to his knoweledge. All that was on the little pups mind was food, and his mother.
Harold was the only pup left when finally, he was rescued- A young girl, no older than 7, had been walking down the street with her parents, when she'd heard the sound of soft whines: Following the sound, she'd found Harold grasping onto the last threads of his life, surrounded by his still siblings.
The girl, determined to save him, called her parents over. As quickly as they could, the family rushed the young pup to the vets, who helped him get any neccesairy shots and nurse him bak to health. While only having only avoided death by a matter of minutes, he made a full and quick recovery. The family gladly took him in.
His new owners were crazy rich: There house was huge, full of various rooms to explore, as well as a large garden for roaming around in.
But it didn't seem to satisfy the young pup.
In his teens, Harold had made a break for it- He'd torn off his collar, dug under the fence and ran off in a bold dash. Having spent the first few days of life on the streets, the small corgi felt a need to be back out there, and be free.
For the first few weeks, it was great: He could do what he wanted, no restrictions, no limits, nothing holding him back (not counting the dog catcher). He even met a beautiful, flirty lhasa apso:
Peg.
He absoloutely adored her: They would always be there for each other, and would always stick up for one another. quite often, they spoke of having their own pups together. It seemed like nothing could break their bond. Harold had eventually decided to return to his family, and he begged and pleaded for peg to come with him, and let his owners take him in: But she would always deny, claiming she was a street dog and could never change. She promised to visit him every day: and she kept this promise.
However, as time passed, Harold noticed she would visit less and less, each time more and more distant than the other. He became concerned, and decided to ask her as to why.
Peg took her time to answer, and when she did, she wouldn't look Harold in the eyes: She was seeing aother dog. Harold was devistated: He'd done so much for her: And this was what he was being payed with?
Who would she replace him with? Who could be better for her than him?
Tramp.
He snarled in denial, but he could not deny her own words, thick with the heaviness of truth: The stinking, horrible mutt that he'd had several encounters with, was better for her than him. He'd chased her off in fury, growling and yapping, claiming he never wanted to see her face around his parts again. She never returned, and, with some time, Harold was able to move on and mature, now that he was back with his family.
On one of his walks through the park, he'd spotted a beautiful, young pomeranian sprinting through the park, yapping, her tail wagging- And it was almost like love at first sight. He felt things inside him, things that seemed to only be present during his time with Peg- Love.
He boldly stepped forward to chat with her, and join her in her chases- which she happily allowed him to. It turned out her name was Dame- a fitting name for his new love. They spent almost every walk together, chasing and yapping about in the park. In time, harold had confessed his love to Dame, to discover the feelings for each other were mutual.
He was very weary to put his heart into this relationship, due to the previous events with Peg- but Dame reassured him that he had nothing to fear- she would ALWAYS love him, forever and always.
Rendering notes; He's very tricky to render due to his unique build, but I would suggest begin with scamp and edit several things ( body lower to the ground, thicker neck, different shaped ears, etc.)
