Likes: Samantha likes to feel tough and dependable. She likes the feel of running, but tries not to stray to far away from home. She enjoys walks in the park, cool days, thunder and knowing she has a home to go back to.

Dislikes: Samantha dislikes being told what to do, the rain and having her heart broken. She has a strong dislike for getting dirty, though she tries to hide it. She dislikes getting lost, and heartless humans.

Personality: Samantha has a toughness when she wants to be, but a softness when she needs to be. Her high spirits sometimes get her in trouble, but that does not stop her. She has a temper, but a sassiness to her as well as a charming, seducing side. Her friends know her as the one who sticks up for them, and also the one who will listen to them if they need to spill things out. Though hot headed, Samantha is a sweet dog at heart. She is afraid of being alone, though she tries to hide it.

History:

Samantha was born in an alleyway. Her mother was a stray, who abandoned her littler after a few weeks. Between the cold and the bitter rain, each pup soon died. All except Samantha.
Samantha's life became normal, between being found and cared for, and to the daily walks to the park.
Years later, Samantha knew she enjoyed her simple life. She was loved and cared for and could not ask for anything more.
On a warm day, Samantha's owner took her to the park. As her owner took off her lead, she bounded over to a cluster of dogs.
"Here comes the mutt," A German Shepard sneered as she came over.
"Hello, Sam," Scamp said grinning, trotting up to her and ignoring the other dog.
"Hello yourself," Samantha said. She then turned to the Shepard and glared. "I have a challenge for you, pretty boy."
"I'll take it."
"We'll see who can run the farthest. I bet with those long legs of yours you can outrun any other pooch."
The Shepard mumbled under his breath before nodding. Suddenly, he took off at a dead run, Samantha running right behind him. She gained speed, passing the now stunned dog. She was so intent on the race, she had ran too far.
Samantha slid to a dead halt and looked around. She looked behind her, but the surroundings were unfamiliar to her. A feeling of dread suddenly filled her as she looked around. Her gaze darted around, before suddenly being surrounded by other dogs.
"Why look who we have here," A Doberman growled. A smirk played at his face as he looked her over.
"Stay away, stray," Samantha snarled.
"Why should I, house pet?" The Doberman suddenly perked his ears up and barked loudly. Before Samantha knew it, they had all scattered. Bewildered, she looked behind her. Fear suddenly over came her as the dog catcher stormed strait for her.
Samantha took off towards the direction she came. She ran as fast as her body could carry her, wishing she was back at the safeness of the park.
"There you are girl," A familiar voice called out as Samantha bumped right into her owner. He snapped her lead on, and they headed home.
'Well,' Samantha thought. 'I'm safe now."
