Body: Shirley is short to the ground with chubby legs and an even chubbier body; she is big-boned and has oval-shaped paws to support her. Her tail was docked when she was a puppy, her chest is broad and deep, her skull is domed and her muzzle is wide. She always has the sad/droopy-eyed expression all Clumber spaniels have; her fur is flat and very feathery -especially on her underside and ears- and it is soft.
Additional accessories: Sometimes, when she's on stage, her owner will have her wear a bright blue, diamond-studded collar. Shirley never wears it other than the few shows her owner wants her to have it on.

History: Shirley was born in an apartment in Manhattan to her purebred parents. As much as they didn't want her and her sister playing around with the mix-breeds on their block, Shirley and Charlotte did so anyway. Their parents even tried to keep the sisters from their cross-breed cousin, Madeline, but again, Shirl and Charlotte went off to visit her upstairs.
At two months old, both Shirley and Charlotte were bought by a locally-famous singer and dancer, Miss Persons, who worked on Broadway. She had purchased Shirley for herself and gave Charlotte to her best friend -who also worked on Broadway- as a birthday gift. This was good since the sisters were able to stay fairly in touch with each other. Later on, Miss Persons talked to her boss about allowing Shirley to be part of her on-stage performances, and after a lot of pleading, he finally let her dog be part of the show. Persons got her boss to let her friend's dog go on stage to, since she had taught Charlotte a few cute tricks, and he agreed again. After that, Persons let her friend take care of Shirley for a few weeks until she got the same tricks Charlotte got down-pact.
Shirley and Charlotte got the dancers and singers' more paying customers and the business went up. One night, Shirley was lying on the window-seat of her owner's huge apartment; the window was open to let the warm summer's night air in and a crash a down on the street caught the small dog's attention. She peered over the ledge, but saw nothing. Thinking it was past her bedtime, Shirley was about to go and get her owner to close the window when she heard the metal ladders rattling as something made its way up to her window. Shirley was ready to attack when a large dog -way large than herself- climbed through the window. His golden fur was dirtied with whatever he had gotten into on the streets, and by the scar on his left eye, Shirl could tell he was blind. She attacked anyway; he had no business climbing through her window at this time of night.
It turned out that the dog wasn't trying to rob her or anything like that, but he was more curious as to how high up the building he could climb the escape ladders and happened to come to Shirl's window. The small spaniel listened to his story, but she made him leave anyway. Afterward, the dog, his name was Kandas, happened to run into Shirley every now-and-then on the streets and they eventually developed a mutual relationship with each other after they got to know each other more. As time went on, Kandas started showing up after Shirley's performances and did little things for her, like taking her out to dinner, bringing home trinkets and just flat-out showing his affection for her.
Time passed and the two of them became mates, and a few months later, Shirley had a litter of four.

- "Shirley" is my revamped version of my old Clumber spaniel character Oatmeal (some of my old RP partners might remember her ;) )

Relationship to the LaTT Universe: Her mate is Kandas, who used to run around Snob Hill when he was younger. He has told her stories about these guys called "the Tramp", "Lady", "Angel", and "Scamp", and "his sisters". She was intrigued by his stories, but Shirley never met them in real life. She'd like to, though; Shirley says they seem "kinda interestin'."
