You all ready for Christmas?

Season’s Greetings members! Boy do we have an exciting collaborative project in store for you during this Christmas season on Animation Source! The 2016 Animation Source Christmas Project! This will be a Secret Santa event, with the theme of Christmas and New Years. Set up by Barrow and Nakou, this will the first time for us English side members to participate in a project alongside members of the French side! Exciting, isn’t it?

Now you may be asking how on earth does this thing work? Well, it’s pretty much exchanging gifts between two users. Allow me to explain:

You can participate in the project by commenting on this forum thread with two chosen characters, each from an different AS site. One that you’ll use, and one that another user will use. After the sign-up deadline, you’ll receive a private message from a mod that states the character you’ll work on, but you won’t know who’s creating your gift until you recieve it! The sign-up deadline is December 3, so don’t be late!

Once you receive your PM, you can start your creation with the your chosen character and assigned character. This can be in the form of a drawing, a photoshopped image, a video, the choice is yours! Your creation must contain those two characters celebrating the winter season together.

Example:

• - User 1 chooses Tod and Diego.
• - User 2 chooses Balto and Dodger.
• - User 1’s creation will be Tod and Dodger under a Christmas tree.
• - User 2’s creation will be Balto and Diego celebrating New Years.

Submissions can be uploaded onto the desired Animation Source site(s) (state in the description that it’s for the project), or you can PM it to an Barrow, Nakou, or an English-side global moderator. Your work must be submitted before the deadline on December 30. Don’t be late with your gift, because another user will be doing a gift for you, so be committed to return the favour.

All submissions will be presented in a special news article in early-January, 2017. If you need inspiration, you should check out the wonderful submissions of last year’s Christmas project on the French side in this article.
