Scar's Queen © Lion King

Many of us have different ideas on who was Scar's queen, or if he even had a queen at all.

SARABI

Sarabi is one of the more popular choices in fanfictions, because she was the queen during Mufasa's reign. That's pretty much the only reason, so why should she be queen just because of that? Surely he wouldn't want his brother's queen to rule with him. Although it is a possibility, I highly doubt it.

SARAFINA

Sarafina is one of the less popular fanfiction queens. The reason some people use her is because I have seen versions of Mheetu as Scar and Sarafina's son. I doubt this as much as Sarabi because this is the only reason, and not everyone follows that fan-fiction, but she was never Mufasa's queen, so Scar could possibly choose her.

ZIRA

Zira is probably the most used queen for Scar, because of Zira's love for Scar. I know a lot of you are probably thinking "Scar never showed any love for Zira, she was just a fan-girl!" well how do you know? The only reason he didn't show love for Zira in the move is because Zira didn't EXIST in the TLK universe, she wasn't a character yet, and Scar wasn't in the second movie (apart from the reflection and dream sequence) so the two never really met in the movies. Zira being in love with him and the fact that Kovu was originally going to be his son before they made him Kiara's love interest is enough to show the two more than likely loved each other.

NALA

Right now you are thinking "What NALA ewwwww that’s so wrong!" well I wasn't the one that though of that! This is actually the most likely queen. Not I didn't say fanqueen, because it is actually official Scar chose Nala as a queen. It is a deleted scene that was deleted because the creators thought it was too creepy and also due to time. It is also a scene in the Broadway musical of The Lion King (Madness of King Scar). Another thing, Scars first option is Nala, so either Scar actually didn't love Zira, or they met after Nala left.

NO QUEEN

This is just as likely as my Nala theory. Nala leaves for help after Scar chooses the Madness of King Scar scene, so depending on how long it took her to find Simba, Scar may have had no queen at all. If it took Nala a few weeks or a few months, then maybe Scar did have a queen, but if it only took a few days or weeks, then he wouldn't have had one, or had one for long.

CONCLUSION

4. Sarafina-I highly doubt her as Scar's queen
3. Sarabi-Higher than Sarafina, but still unlikely
2. Zira-Possible, if she was queen, not for long
1. Nala/No queen/Queen, but not for long-It really depends on how long is took Nala to find help, she wouldn't have found it straight away, so I'd say that Nala was the most possible choice to be future queen with Scar, and after she left, he chose another who wasn't queen for that long, possibly Zira (they obviously knew each other before his death)

Well, The Lion King totally ripped off Hamlet, and in the play when Claudius (Scar) killed King Hamlet (Mufasa), he took the king's wife Gertrude (Sarabi) for himself. For that reason, I don't think the Sarabi theory is too far-fetched. It actually kind of makes sense. However, if there is a deleted scene with Scar making Nala his queen, I suppose the case is pretty much solved.

Iluvlionking: Nala wasn't actually banished, Sarabi and the lionesses wouldn't let Scar banish her, none of the storyboards show her leaving after Scar banishes her, and in the musical (although I haven't seen it in about... 8 years, so I may not remember every detail) she just leaves after the song, without Scar sayng anything about being banished

I think Scar mated with Zira because all the other lionesses rejected him. The Madness of King Scar ended up with Nala being exiled. In the movie, she went to find help. So in my opinion, he loved Zira all along, but she just blended in in the first movie.

i personally think Scar didn't have any queen, but Zira simply thought she was his queen. Yes, he might have made her bear a cub (in this case, Nuka) and that was really one of the reasons - but the reason she didn't treat him very well was because if Scar didn't see him as acceptable, then why would she, his crazed fangirl? Vitani and Kovu, if they were considered strong, then they may have been treated better.

Well It's unknown whether or not scar wants Sarabi as queen or not. I think the reason he hits her is because firstly she says "mufasa" and she is also saying he was a better king than scar, and scar doesn't like that

when scars young and wants sarabi to be her queen butt founds out that she can't because mufassa wins her. I dont get it when scar is king and calls sarabi up and she tells him all the animals have ran away and soon says that scar, 'wont be half the king MU-FA-SSA was' scar wacks her and really hurts her when scar all this time wanted sarabi to be her queen,i just dont get it. Any-way, if you could give me the awnser to my questain on why scar hits sarabi when all this time he wanted her to be queen. Please tell me, thank you. xx

*Facepalm*

So back to the article instead of focusing on people who send threats over the web like cowardly buffoons - You idea of Scar not wanting to touch Sarabi is on point. Scar wants nothing to do with Mufasa. Absolutely nothing. So why would he touch Sarabi? The most he'd do to her is rough her up, which he does do in the film.

Mheetu isn't the only reason he'd choose Sarafina, regaurdless of wether he was the father or not. Contrary to her usual depiction, Sarafina is not a strong or dominant lioness. In the few seconds she's on screen she has no opinions or her own or makes no decisions of her own. Not even in the book. She seems like a neurotic mother with the way she raises Nala and is pretty submissive. She'd be the perfect Queen for Scar.

Great article, Aiyana ^^ i also support Zira as his queen. I don't think Sarabi will ever get over her mate's death, so she won't mate with Scar. I like SarafinaXScar , but not really as a permanent couple. And Zira and Scar...well,they are both evil, so that's perfect xD

Edit: Also, the only part of Scar's reign CANONICALLY shown was the part withh im, Zazu and the hyenas. We see no lionesses or anything.

Regardless of what anyone says, I believe that even though Sarabi was probably (for all we know, the movie doesn't say, blah, blah) stripped of her status as queen because of Mufasa's death. Though she was perhaps still queen in the eyes of the pride.

I have to go with the fact that Zira was Scar's queen. It makes sense, at least to me and I can see her by Scar's side more than either Sarabi who I think was probably devoted completely to Mufasa even in his death to the point of her own death.

Sarafina, even if she did birth Mheetu, I don't think she'd want to be queen, let alone see her own daughter ruling with Scar.

Zira is the perfect match for Scar, both as a mate and as a queen, regardless of what the movie shows or doesn't show.

Your conclusion about Zira is unsupported, therefore terrible. Regaurdless of the film and deleted scenes, Zira was going to be his LONGTIME mate, according to darell rooney. http://images.wikia.com/lionking/images/6/68/Darrel_Rooney.
png So it was going to be implied she was there, we just didn't see her, you know, like ALL the new characters.
