Personality: Ainran is a happy-go-lucky lion but underneath that mask he is a shy and filled with regrets. He will usually joke and laugh but will avoid questions about his life prior to being a rogue. He will only opne up if pushed very hard or if he trusts the person he gives his secrets to. 

History: Ainran was born for only one reason, for Naanda to steal the throne of the Bahari pride from her nephew Kamaji. He was the son of a rogue but Naanda had big plans for her eldest son, she would raise him as the perfect king and completely loyal to her and her wishes. In short, the perfect puppet king. However, Ainran himself never wanted the throne. He just wanted to be a normal cub.

Ainran was born a couple of years after the Bahari Pride's return to their lands. Queen Neema was ailing and so Kamaji and his young mate Adla took the throne. Naanda was not pleased at having the brat of a Pridelander on the throne, especially since he had been raised with Prideland values instead of the traditional Bahari. 

Ainran grew up under his mother's paw but he didn't want to become king like she said he would. He just wanted to be normal like the other cubs in the pride. However, he couldn't escape his mother's watch for long, no matter how hard he tried. The only cub he could feel completely normal around was his younger twin brother, Onani.

Finally, things came to a head when Ainran was a young adult. Naanda attacked Queen Adla and also tried to kill her cubs. Naanda was caught and killed for her deed but everyone assumed Ainran and Onani must have known what their mother was planning, which they didn't and was instead horrified by how far his mother would go for power.

Knowing his nephews had no part in Naanda's actions, but not completely trusting that they wouldn't take vengence for Naanda's death, Kamaji exiled them both. With that, Ainran and Onani left the lands of his birth never to return. 

Ainran soon parted company with his brother and went off on his own, wandering around the edges of the desert to the far north of the Bahari and Jabali lands, eventually reaching full adulthood a few years after his banishment. It was there that he ran into the lioness Akosua. Although she wanted nothing to do with him, or any male in fact, the young male was lonely and hadn't any company in a very long time. Taking pity on him, Akosua allowed him to stay with her as a protector and guide to the strange lands outside of the Oasis she called home.
