Personality: Timid, shy and nervous, but when he’s with his friends he is loud, fun and daring.

Relation to the Lion King: In a Pride with Kula and Malka’s son, son of Kovu and Kiara.

Baridi was born with his twin brother Moto in the Pridelands. He loved his family and would love to play with his brother and their friend Manish, Simba and Vitani’s son. Simba and Vitani didn’t care for Manish as well as their other cubs because he wasn’t meant to exist at all, so Kiara and Kovu took care of him, but Baridi felt left out as Moto spent more time with Manish than with him.

One day, Kiara and Kovu had taken the three of them out for a walk in the savannah. They sat down in the shade of the trees whilst Baridi, Moto and Manish went and played, however, the three of them strayed too far from Kiara and Kovu.

They tried to get back, but the clouds had come down and it created a foggy atmosphere. Then the rain came and, although he found it hard to see, Baridi saw a cave and the all went and ran to it.

Baridi was so frightened. He could hear the rain and the thunder and lightning.

Suddenly, all three of them turned their heads as a giant crack sound was heard. Part of the roof of the cave gave way under the weight of the water from the tropical storm and a surge came towards them. Baridi saw Moto run away and he tried to follow, but he was soon swept off his feet by the torrent of water coming down the cave.

Whenever Baridi surface, he looked around to check for Moto and Manish and felt relief when he saw them surface too.

Soon, the river died down, but not before it had taken the cubs far away from the Pridelands.

Moto told the Baridi that they needed to stick together and find someone to help.

Help did come!

A pride of lions had discovered the cubs a couple of days after they were deposited by the river. They were called the Utendaji Pride and they welcomed the little cubs.

Baridi wanted to stay with these lions and let them be his new family, but Moto protested and the Pride agreed to try and find Pride Rock.  They never did reach home again.
