Personality: The complete opposite of Mashaka in every form. Whereas Mashaka is very cunning and devious, Baya is strong and to the point. She is bluntly honest in her own opinions and doesn't try to come up with ways to hurt others in witty remarks like her older sister - no, she'll just tell them head-on right then and there. Baya is smart, but prefers brawn over brains, and in battle will fight to be the last one to be taken down. Baya, despite her seeming to have a one-track mind, has very complicated thoughts about what she does, and it is always an internal battle between two conflicting sides - the side to do right and the side to do evil.

History: Baya is the younger daughter of Nuka and Kiara. Nuka was the one Scar chose as his heir, over Kovu. As a result Nuka grew into a fine lion with a full main and termite-free fur. He was an excellent heir when it came to seducing Kiara; he was kind and caring towards her (eventually she fell in love with him), but it was merely an act, as he was completely devoted to his mother, Zira’s, plan. Zira’s plan was a success, as she succeeded in killing Simba when her pride ambushed him after the fire. Nuka returned to Pride Rock claiming that Simba had been attacked by rouges, and it was too late to save him. Nala, with a heavy heart passed on the throne to Kiara and Nuka. A few days after that, Nuka and Kiara mated, ensuring that Nuka would have an heir. Then, Zira attacked with her pride, and they took over Pride Rock, and the Pridelands. Nuka’s true colors were revealed to Kiara, but it was too late to change what she did.

Kiara was then imprisoned to Pride Rock with her mother until the cubs were born. Eventually, after a few weeks, Kiara gave birth to Miniya and Baya. Much was expected out of Miniya, but to them Baya (since she took much more after Nuka and Zira) was a lost cause. Baya was very close with her sister, but from the time she was able to walk one could tell she was the eviler sister, more arrogant and looked down upon others.

Unfavorable with Kiara and Nala because of her looks, Baya was just as much of a second option to them as she was to Nuka and Zira. Nuka did not care for Baya so much because she was a shadow of what he could've been like, and it frightened him. Nuka made sure that Miniya and Baya spent as little time with Kiara and Nala as possible, wanting them to follow in his pawprints, and teaching them all they needed to know. While Miniya grew bored of the teachings, Baya reveled in them, wanting nothing more than to seek the approval of her father. She was more obedient than her sister, but still despite their differences they were very close.

One day Miniya disappearede from the Pridelands. Baya was devastated though she didn't understand why (as Kiara did not yet tell her the truth yet). Disappointed that his first cub defied him, Nuka turned all eyes to Baya, and with the help of Zira the two raised Baya according to how they saw fit. They wanted to make a lioness out of her as evil and deceiving as they were. Baya lived in the Pridelands until she was older, and then finally Kiara confronted her and told her the truth. Though at first she took the news with mere indifference, Baya soon began to have conflicting thoughts about her father - should she serve him, or do the good thing and kill him to end his rule?

Unable to take the pressure of her own conflicting desires, Baya ran away and it was not long after that she bumped into Miniya, now renamed Mashaka, and a lion named Diallo. Convinced that she could run from her thoughts by staying with her sister, Baya did just that, but the thoughts never left, and she fought against herself on whether she would return to kill her father or not. In the meantime she stays with Mashaka and Diallo, nursing a love for Diallo despite him not returning her feelings. Despite her nursing love for him, Baya also wanted to use him for her own selfish purposes. So far, she has not made those intentions clear yet.
