Appearance
Not very tall, with small paws. However, is quite muscular and has a very large, thick mane that stands high to make up for slight lack of head height. Has long, oval head with convex nose. There is one toe missing from right fore paw (third from the dew claw), and some balding on the top of his nose and on whisker areas above eyes.

Colours
Dark and light shades of chestnut brown and beige; blue eyes; some greying on mane, above ears.

Personality
Fair and loyal - as just as he possibly can be. Comoros is brave, and unafraid of most things. He has a degree of bravado in his nature, although in certain understandable instances he can be, duly, very cautious. A little anti-social, he will work with other soldier lions on patrols, but tends to avoid any casual company other than that of family; he does not talk very much. At times he is warm and friendly; at others, stern and fierce, depending on who and what he is dealing with. Occasionally, he is subject to fiery bouts of temper, especially where the safety of his loved ones is concerned.

History 

Comoros Loyall was born into the Pride of Stones (which was led by Emperor Obbler and in later years renamed ''Kabila o Miamba'': The Tribe of Rocks). His father, Mchanga, commonly known as Muscle, was the henchman and close friend of the Emperor, and came from an eastern pride; his mother Meridia was a cub-carer and from the west. Muscle had unofficial charge over the training of the Pride of Stones' fighting force. In the early days of the Pride (its beginnings - when Comoros was born - not long after Emperor Obbler had founded it in the lands north of the Elephant Graveyard), its army was almost nonexistent, consisting of only a few tough ex-rouges. Muscle was requested by his Emperor to create soldiers, to protect the Pride and its territory.

When Comoros came into the world he was marked for a fighting career, being a fit, strong cub. Indeed, he was physically capable; it was difficult to win in a fight against Comoros with his chunky build, big jaws, and his small but very strong paws . . . however small they were in comparison to the bulk of the rest of his frame. But mentally Comoros was restless,  fidgety, unsatisfied and unhappy with the regimented life of a soldier. His fellow fighters, mostly the offspring of ex-rogues, were more than happy to do their job; battling, guarding, training -  but for Comoros it was so restricting and monotonous, although he tried his best, to please his father and his Emperor. However, Mchanga did not want Comoros to be unhappy. 

After consulting the Emperor Obbler, Mchanga had Comoros enlisted as a Bushscrub Scout, the most unpleasant, rough, ultimately elite and most wanted position in the pride. There were only six other Bushscrub Scouts, together a group of lions extremely strong, powerful, and cunning; the supreme commandos of the Stone Lions. It was not so regimented to be in the Bushscubbers (the lions were certainly more gung-ho), so the rank seemed fairly suitable for Comoros, although there was not much hope he would be able to last more than a couple of the hard and perilous missions the Bushscrub Scouts had to carry out. Still, time would tell. 

Comoros lasted four missions . . . then five . . . six . . . seven . . . the number grew. Despite coming out badly in a few scraps against certain enemies (he lost one of his his front paw toes to an eagle on one mission), Comoros proved amazingly capable member of the elite group - indeed, his senior Bushscrubbers were baffled by his nimble mind, hardiness and over-all eagerness and spirit. Comoros himself thoroughly enjoyed his new work.

Later, each of the Bushscrubbers were promoted to higher ranks. Comoros' fellow Scouts were given important ranks, while he started going on not-so-important (but still very much needed), special missions with his friend Meno Mosso, and Pridelander allies Fimbo, Ochoyo and Taz.

Before long, Comoros was promoted once again, this time to the rank of Funo (equal to a general). Soon after, he and his fellow Funo Meno Mosso, were assigned to help the Goldencraters, a group of lions who were suffering attacks from foreign rogue lions. Through helping the Goldencraters, the Emperor Obbler hoped the Stone Lions would have more allies to help defeat Jafiya, an enemy King.

Comoros and Meno set off on their journey, and were unexpectedly met half the way to their destination by Ochoyo the Pridelander, who told them he had been sent by his leaders to aid them in their quest.
 

Later . . .

A period of several months passed by. Obbler heard nothing of his Funo soldiers, and began to worry, as they had promised to inform him of their progress helping the Goldencraters every few months or so. To the Goldencrater lands he sent a messenger, who returned with strange news; Ochoyo was now leader of the Goldencrater Pride, which was now a sad, decaying group, with very few members. And Meno and Comoros had disappeared. Ochoyo said that they had been ''dealt with'' by enemies, although he would not tell anybody who the enemies were. Obbler (and many others) suspected a dark conspiracy behind it all, and he quickly decided to throw away any plans of alliance with the Goldencraters. He also sent off search parties to try and track down his two missing soldiers. But no trace of either of them could be found, and with the threat of a massive battle between his pride and  King Jafiya's looming close, the number of search parties dwindled and decreased. Meno Mosso and Comoros had to be forgotten for the time being.

Obbler won the war against Jafiya, who with some followers were banished. For a long time there was peace for Obbler's Stone Lions. The Emperor remembered Comoros and Meno, and once again ordered they be tracked down. Suddenly, rumours came that Jafiya appeared to be rallying a large garrison against the Stone Lions. Obbler was distraught, for the Pride Landers, his old allies who had helped him win the first conflict, refused to fight alongside him once more.
