Personality: Daren is smart and a bit bipolar, he has mixed feelings about diverse situations, it's impossible to predict his reactions. As a cub he used to be confident and shy but as he started to grow he became melancholic, grumpy and distant, he wouldn't talk to his family or friends, except the times where he had to. Besides being almost angry all the time, Daren is very patient and only loses control when he is really, really pissed of, he also has a sarcastic and a bit sadistic humor.

Biography:

Daren was the second cub of King Kovu and Queen Kiara, a few months younger than his brother Rudo. He was born in a calm night as a healthy cub, besides the parents happiness, the similarities of Daren and Scar in appearance worried Simba, he wasn't happy about his grandson and thought he was a bad omen. Soon, Daren grew up into a good and calm cub, he loved his family and siblings and tried his best to make his parents proud of him. One day, Daren found out about his Lion Guard powers, Kovu and Kiara thought that he was ready to become a Lion Guard and were happy about it, Kion, who already was adult decided to help Daren to become a good and strong Lion Guard, even better than him. Daren's Lion Guard team was only made of lions, his cousins and friends, as a cub, he made Kion and his parents proud, all except Simba who never liked him.

As time went on, Daren was reaching teenagehood when things started to change, he was too proud of his powers and was too young too handle the responsibilities of controlling them, he started to make bad decisions. Kion decided that maybe he should give have a break from his duties, he also was afraid that he had taught too much for Daren of Lion Guard powers. Daren started to realize how his family became aware of him, he was treated like a criminal, his actions only became disappointment to his parents no matter how hard he tried, he didn't wanted to become the bad guy. However, the rejection from his family only increased, they weren't sure about him being a Lion Guard and nothing he did was right anymore, during this phase Daren became distant from all and melancholic, he was lost about who he should be, meanwhile his brother Rudo was praised and beloved as future king. Daren started to have corrupted and dark thoughts of destroying his brother and become king. This also affected Daren powers, making him violent and destructive.

Years passed and Daren became the sad and grumpy young adult from the pride, he had been forbidden to use his Lion Guard powers for a long time. One day, while he was disturbed by dark thoughts, Daren tried to kill his brother after an argument with him, but Simba came to help Rudo, however Daren used his powers on him, killing Simba, something he did not regret. Because of his actions, Rudo and Kovu had no other choice but exile Daren, they didn't wanted to and were sad for having to exile him, but it was for the best. In the outlands, Daren met the pack of hyenas, he gained their loyalty by scaring and threatening them with his powers, who became dark and corrupted. He made his own new "Lion Guard" only with hyenas, and decided he would destroy the Pridelands.

One day, while trying to destroy the Pridelands with his clan of hyenas, he met with his father Kovu who tried to friendly talk to his son, but Daren killed him with no mercy, he wasn't Kovu's son anymore. He ended up being defeated by Kion who almost died too, after that, Daren spent the rest of his life in the Outlands as "King of the Outlands" or "Dark King" and his hyenas subjects. He never stopped trying to destroy Pridelands, even being defeated, he would do what he wanted one way or another.
