Relation to the Lion King: She is the mother of Ajali who becomes mates with Kopa and Vitani’s daughter.

History:

(As her story really only begins when she’s an adult I will begin from there.)

Dikeledi was born a rogue. She was brought up by her mother whom taught her to hunt and fight.

One day, Dikeledi was wandering in the savannah with her mother when a group of 3 lions. They began to fight, but her mother died after a blow to the head. Dikeledi cried out in pain, but still continued fighting. Then, an almighty roar was heard and another lion came into the fray, but fighting with Dikeledi. Together, they defeated the lions.

Dikeledi looked into his eyes and whispered a quiet thank you before slumping to the ground, exhausted.

When Dikeledi awoke she saw the lion still next to her. She thanked him once again and asked him never to leave her. They gazed at each other and fell in love. She learnt that his name was Dakarai and that he was also a rogue. He also said he had always wanted a family, like she did.

They had a cub together whom they called Ajali. He was their pride and joy and Dikeledi loved him to pieces.

A year later, Dikeledi felt that Ajali could be left on his own for a bit as long as he returned by nightfall. This meant she could spent more time with her loving mate and friend.

One day, they were out hunting together when the mother of an antelope calf Dikeledi was chasing came out and kicked her and speared her with its horns. Dikeledi had never felt so much pain in all her life and she could feel death on its way. However, Dakarai was a loyal friend and he lifted her up and supported her, talking to her all the way.

It was a lovely way to go, with the sound of her mate talking words of love and care into her ears. However, she died of her injuries whist on the journey back to their den.
