History: Farida was born to a normal family, nothing unusual. As a cub she was the smallest cub in her pride, she hated being small. As a teen her pride and another pride got into a huge fight over territory, to solve this problem her parents bethrothed her against her will to the prince the other pride. She hated him, he was rude, mean and didn't care for anyone except himself. She often argued with her parents about him. Her parents had told her that she would have to marry him. 

 

Farida finally had it, she ran away. She felt as if that was the only solution.  She was finally free, she was free to marry and love who ever she wanted to.  Her parents were devistated that she had left, after Farida had left they had bethrothed their second youngest daughter to the prince they got married and everything was settled. Farida was afraid to return to her pride. Farida was traveling though the desert when she saw something she thought she would never see, a lion,hyena, and a bird traveling together. She was told since she was a cub that lions and hyenas could never be friends. She immedately ran over to them all and greeted them. She had learned that the lion's name was Maalum. She joined their group, and over time her feelings for Maalum grew. When Farida became a adult her she and Maalum became mates.
