Relation to the Lion King: Joins a Pride with Malka and Kula’s son, and the cubs of Kovu and Kiara.

Hala didn’t want to leave her Pride. She was very popular and everyone loved her, however, her best friend Tarajika wasn’t very popular. Hala would stick up for her friend, but in the end she knew they both had to leave before someone was going to get hurt.

Soon after they left their Pride, they met a lion called Baka. Hala fell in love with Baka, but so did Tarajika, however, Hala was confident that her good looks would win him over.

She could tell that Baka was very friendly with her and Tarajika and trusted them greatly. He told them a secret desire, but made them promise not to tell anyone.

When they found a new Pride they felt very welcome. This new Pride was called the Utendaji Pride and Hala knew she would enjoy living there.

That was before Baka announced that he loved Tarajika.

Hala became very jealous and started to loathe her friend, so she told the Pride about Baka’s secret. Baka felt extremely betrayed, but also upset because he felt he should’ve asked Hala beforehand.

Hala’s jealousy faded when a newcomer came to the Pride, a lion called Zalika. Together they were very carefree and didn’t really worry about anything.

When Moto, Baridi and Manish were adopted by the Pride, Hala offered to become an adoptive parent to them, whilst the Pride searched for their original home.

The Utendaji Pride was set up so I was able to educate everyone on musicals, one of my favourite things (get the pun?)! I just love them and their songs are so powerful, so each member of the Utendaji Pride is related to a different musical. Every picture of them will relate to a song and I will post the link of the song so you are able to listen to it, as well as a context in the story of the musical.
