Relation to the Lion King: In a Pride with Kula and Malka’s son and Kovu, Kiara, Vitani and Kopa’s cubs.

When he was a cub, Hamza was scarred by a male lion that took over his Pride. Hamza’s mother stood up to the male lion to stop him from killing Hamza. The lion agreed, as long as Hamza worked a lot for him. His mother agreed, knowing it was the only way to keep Hamza alive.

Hamza worked by hunting and keeping guard along with many other cubs his age, older, and younger.

Another cub he worked with was a female cub called Sabiha. Sabiha was a cub from the new male lion, but he didn’t really care for a female heir so he made her work with the other cubs.

As a teenager, Hamza decided that enough was enough. He and Sabiha decided to strike.

Hamza and Sabiha rallied the other lions and lionesses to confront their leader and stop the injustice. They had high hopes for success, but their riot failed.

A battle took place, but the teenagers lost horribly. Hamza took on the King himself, but he was defeated and ended up blind in one eye. His mother took up the fight for him, but she sadly perished.

The King exiled him and Sabiha for causing the strike.

Hamza and Sabiha travelled a long way until they found the Utendaji Pride. Hamza liked it there because it was a Pride where everyone was equal. He became good friends with a lion called Kanye and he and Sabiha became mates.

The Utendaji Pride was set up so I was able to educate everyone on musicals, one of my favourite things (get the pun?)! I just love them and their songs are so powerful, so each member of the Utendaji Pride is related to a different musical. Every picture of them will relate to a song and I will post the link of the song so you are able to listen to it, as well as a context in the story of the musical.
