Personality: According the pridelander female cubs, a 'dream guy'. Although, any girl could see what they meant. He is a romantic little fellow and a right charmer with a sarcastic twist to the way he talks to females. He may appear cocky, but if you're a prince it's almost normal to be a bit cocky. He is strong-willed and determined, a lot like Simba was as a cub, always dreaming about being the king when he's older. He does however take his duty incredibly seriously, wanting to be the best he possibly can for his future pride and queen. He is completely loyal to his parents, mainly his mother now after what his father did to him and Kiara. He would protect his mother in any and all situations, and puts her first before anyone. This doesn't mean he's a mummy's boy though, he is infact a very independent guy.

He can be a bit of a tease with his friends sometimes, but this is many just playful jokes, as he would never try to hurt someone on purpose. He's actually very careful when it comes to fighting and tries to avoid them in most cases.

History: Issa was born at pride rock at the end of Simba's reign. Kovu was named the new king of the pride lands at the same time as Issa's birth and the celebration for the new king and prince were huge. Even as a tiny cub, Issa had a lot of attention from females, mainly because he was 'cute' at that stage of his life. Their opinions change later obviously... Issa grew with the stories of his family, and fasinated by his the past kings of pride rock, he grew ambitious to be a great king, remembered throughout time. His mother taught Issa the famous 'Circle of Life' and many other important factors of ruling at a young age. And thank goodness she did. When Issa became a teen, he noticed his father becoming restless, aggressive and stressed. One night, Kovu left. Without a word or telling anyone why. Issa awoken to his sobbing mother and rushed over to her side, when he saw that his dad was no where to be seen, he presumed immediately that he had left them. And how right he was. Kiara told him that night that the life as a King was too much for Kovu to handle. The pressure had gotten to him and he'd left, now Issa had to fully prepare to be King even at his young age as Kiara couldn't do all this by herself. Issa put on a brave face despite the circumstances, and told his mother that he would do everything in his power to keep the Kingdom in good shape. Issa did keep his promise, and became an incredible king, with an attitude much like that of his great-grandfather, Mufasa. Soon, Kiara confessed she felt she was too old to be Issa's 'queen' and so she decided that it was time she arranged a betrothal for Issa. Issa understood why she was doing this, as she was concerned the same thing that happened to her would happen to Issa, a she broke the betrothal tradition. Issa was soon betrothed to Leea. The two at first were thrilled, as they were good friends. But soon Leea began to have doubts. She wanted to find love. Issa didn't want to hold her back, and so asked his mother to withdraw her plans. Hesitant and first, Kiara was still concerned for her son's happiness, but she decided to allow it, afterall he was doing for the good of Leea, not himself.

Now completely confused on what to do, Issa confided in one of his best friends, Amadi. She told him to do what he had allowed Leea to do. To find love. Issa smiled at this, almost amused. He had always admired Amadi, but never quite in the way he had begun to admire her. She was beautiful. She had elegant eyes, much like his great grand-mother Sarabi. He decided to spend more time with Amadi, just the two of them, in the hope it would maybe turn into love. His other two best friends (Asha and Kato) and Leea got a wiff of what was going on, and so decided to do some match-making to help the couple along. 

Future: Asha, Kato and Leea's match-making apparently works, as Issa soon admits to Amadi that he has feelings for her and she says the same. Issa takes her to the top of Pride Rock as a make-shift 'first date'. Although anxious to get himself a queen, he decides to leave asking her until they had been a couple for at least a few weeks. After all this, he later discoveres that Asha and Kato have become mates, and that Leea has decided that males are stupid and wants to adopt a cub (xD that girl, really...) Kiara is increidlby proud of her son, and decideds to talk to Amadi by herself and discovers just how close Amadi and Issa are.
