Personality: Many would think Jamil is aloof and cold since he rarely speaks, he prefers to let his actions speak for themselves. He is fiercely loyal to anyone who he considers a friend or an ally and will gladly fight alongside them. He prefers to be on the edge of groups, silently observing evryone, than actually interacting with others. It takes a lot to bring him out of his shell.

History: Jamil was the result of an affair between a lioness and a rogue male. Fearing that her son would be discovered by the pride's leader, Jamil's mother entrusted him to his father's care. Jamil grew up amongst a wandering pride of lions, learning to fight and hunt on his own from he was a young age and gaining a number of scars when he failed.

When Jamil's mane was full, he bid his father goodbye and set out to make his own way in the world.

Not long into his life as a rogue, he fell in with a lioness by the name of Reina. She was talkative and beautiful and everything that Jamil, himself, was not. He grew to like her and she was one of the few people who could coax him out of his hard-as-nails exterior. He fell for her and she for him and before long he had made plans that he would settle down with her and begin his own pride on some unnoccupied territory.

However, tragedy struck. Reina became seriously ill after drinking from a polluted watering hole. Jamil did all that he could, running for miles in all directions looking for a healer but by the time he found one it was far far too late for Reina and she died from the illness.

Alone again, Jamil contemplated ending his own life so he could be with Reina but when he ran out into the desert intending to walk until he couldn't anymore, the sands granted him a vision. He saw a young lioness, a queen, leading a pride of rogues and wanderers to a land of their own. He passed out from exhaustion soon after that.

When he awoke he found himself nose-to-nose with the lioness in his vision, who introduced herself as Ari and explained that she had saved him from the desert sands as she and her pride had happened by him not long after he had passed out and managed to drag him to a nearby oasis. 

Jamil was offered a place in her pride if he wanted and the lion accepted.
