Personality: A very shy and reserved cub. Kagiso is also mute - she cannot talk. Because of this, her parents stay close to her or have Baakir or Mbali watch over her so that she doesn't get into danger. She is a shriveling violet, even though as she grows in life, she begins to express a rebellious attitude to wanting to do more for herself, and not have to be constantly watched by others.

History: Kagiso was the runt of the litter and her birth caused a stir. Rudo was very concerned about Kagiso for when she was born, she did not cry or make any sounds. He soon discovered that she was unable to speak, but the fear that something was wrong with her made him very protective of her. It also did not help that Kagiso was a very sickly cub - if anyone was likely to catch an illness, it was her. Rudo worried that she would not last to adulthood but so far Kagiso has proven him wrong. As she grew up, she lived underneath the watchful eye of her father.

Living with her father and brother in their lands, Kagiso did not have any friends, until the day she bumped into a young male lion named Kristo. His family pride lived near her pride's home, and the two prides got along well. Kagiso befriended Kristo immediately, and even though she was mute, Kristo could understand her well through body language. Baakir didn't really like Kagiso's friendship with Kristo, but for the most part let them do their own thing while keeping an eye on them. He finally put a stomp on their friendship after Kagiso slipped and fell into a ditch, hurting her back in the process. After that Baakir never let Kagiso visit Kristo.

Since she was unable to visit Kristo, Kagiso grew very lonely, and when she met the lion Tau, she happily clung onto him. However Tau only wanted her for one reason, and so when they mated during the night, he left the next day. This broke Kagiso's heart, and because of it Kagiso grew less trusting of males besides her father and brother.

She gave birth to Yejide, and around this time Kristo had left his family pride to move closer to Rudo's territory. He was attacked and nearly died before Rudo saved him and invited him into the territory. Recalling the young lion from when he was younger, Rudo gladly took care of him, but to Kristo's confusion Kagiso was much different around him than she had been. She didn't trust him around her anymore - not only that, but Baakir was much more overprotective, and did not allow Kristo near Kagiso and Yejide.
