Personality: Kaidi is a surprisingly resiliant cub despite her sickliness compared to most other cubs. She isn't as playful as many of the other cubs but makes up for this with her optimistic outlook on life. She is aware that she is different to the rest of the pride but doesn't understand why which causes her great frustration.

History: Kaidi was born in the Jabali Pride not long after their princess, Tendai, left to seek aid in rebuilding her home. However, despite the progress she had made in trying to dispell the notion that the Jabali Pride were nothing more than murderous savages, not all members were so willing to bend to the new era Tendai wished to usher in.

And Kaidi was one of the few unfortunates who suffered as a result.

Born very sickly, Kaidi's parents were disappointed in how weak their daughter was. Jabali tradition demanded that weak cubs be left out to die on the cliffs that surrounded their home and so that was what they did. They took Kaidi and left her out to perish like so many before her, ignoring her weak wails and returned to the pride claiming the cub had been stillborn.

Thankfully for Kaidi, her parents left her close to the border of the Bahari Pride's lands (hoping that if the elements were too slow then a Bahari scout would finish the job), however, the lioness who happened on the dying cub was not so heartless. 

Diku took Kaidi and ran back to the Bahari Pride with her, the queen, Adla, had recently given birth to her own litter of cubs and so Kaidi was placed at her side to nurse. However, there was no disguising her distinctly Jabali Pride looks and many of the pride's older members demanded that Diku leave the cub back where she had found her but Diku refused, standing her ground. She wouldn't let an innocent newborn cub die.

Eventually, Kamaji was called to settle the dispute, and having cubs himself, was more inclined to listen to Diku. However, he had one condition, Kaidi would never know of her true origins by any means. She would be raised as a Bahari member and the Jabali Pride would never know of her existance. Diku happily agreed and thus adopted the girl as her own. She named the cub Kaidi as the cub by all rights should have died on the cliffs but had instead defied everyone's expectations by living regardless.
