Personality: Kali is quite a quiet lioness, prefering to stay in the shadows than be active in pride life, that being said she doesn't like to be underestimated because of her disability. She has a fierce determination and once she sets her heart on a goal she refuses to back down.

History: Kali and ehr twin sister Sarafina were born during Ahadi's reign shortly after Mufasa and Taka. Both cubs seemed perfectly healthy until they opened their eyes, it was then discovered that Kali was blind.

The then shaman declared he couldn't do anything for the cub and it was likely she would die since she wouldn't be able to hunt or fend for herself like a normal lioness, however, the shaman-in-training called Rafiki had an idea. He proposed that Kali be taught to use her other sense to make up for the fact she couldn't see, learn to move and hunt using heaing, smell and touch. Many were skeptical but Kali's mother begged Rafiki to try and so the young mandrill set to work.

Kali grew up under Rafiki's tutalage and blossomed under it. She was able to learn how to move around her environment and avoid danger and soon she could go exploring on her own. Many of the skeptics were completely amazed and praised Rafiki's quick thinking.

Kali gave birth to a cub of her own, around the same time as her sister Sarafina. The little cub was named Kula and, thankfully, didn't seem to inherit her mother's blindness. Kali tried to be a good mother to her little cub, despite her disability and Kula grew up healthy and strong.

However, Mufasa died and Scar took over and the Pridelands was suddenly home to as horde of hyenas who did nothing but make the lioness' lives miserable and chase away most of the herds. Scar, in his madness, forced some of the lionesses to bear his cubs, Kali was one of them. She gave birth to a little male cub named Maru but refused to let Scar anywhere near her son and instead entrusted him to a wandering rogue named Ni, who rescued several of the young male cubs from the Pridelands.

Several months after that, Kali's life came to an abrupt end. By now the food was starting to hit an all time low and the hyenas turned to, what they believed, was one of the weaker lionesses. Kali fought off many of the hyenas, managing to bring down at least a dozen before she was overwhelmed and killed.

Kali's story did not end with her death. She actually returned as a spirit to guide her own great-grandaughter, who was also born blind, and teach her what Rafiki had taught her when she was the same age. She grew to love Jia but had to return to the stars when she had finished teaching Jia.
