Personality:

a bright hearted lion, he wants to look like his foster father so, rather cold and distant but he rarely succeeds since he's one that cares too much and is too much sociable and friendly to look otherwise; he's a rather good liar but he never uses his lies for bad, at least he tries to; he's rather die himself if this would save someone that he loves; he doesn't really like resposabilities because he thinks he wouldn't be good enough.

 

Likes/Dislikes:

as stated in his personality, Kai doesn't really like having resposabilities even if he is the only one fit to bear them, he'll get nervous and may end up making a mess only because he gets self-convinced that he won't make it, all he needs is a little push. Even if they are not his real parents, Kai really adores his foster father at the point of trying to mimic his personality, without success. Once a teen, he enjoys the company of his two friends. He'll soon learn to hate his half sister Kotara, he and she looks a lot like, almost like twins but they are totally opposites. He isnt very fond of his real parents either but only because they lied to him and gave him away, although he'll soon overcome this feeling.

 

History:

Kayode and other two siblings were the second litter of offsprings of the rulers of Priderock, Kovu and Kiara. Problem was that one of the two elder sibling from their first litter, Kotara, was becoming a menace for the pride and so, in order to protects the three cubs and the queen, her pregnancy was kept a secret and, once the cubs were born, they were given away, to other lionesses of other prides. Kayode was given to two known faces: Sienna and Zane. Zane was also his half uncle since he and Kai's mother shared the same father and Sienna had shown loyality to the two Crown lions so, the two parents were sure to have made the right choice. Zane and Sienna didn't really have a pride of their own, it was just the two of them living where Simba had once lived, in the forest since the two had been exiled by another one of Kai's half brothers Nur because she refused to become his mate and Zane made them believe he was by Kotara's side when, infact, he was against them, a spy. Kayode grew up with them, believing they were his real parents until, one day, he wandered with his foster parents near the border of the Pridelands where a dark lion spoke to them. Kai was told to be his son, his real son and this was quite a shock for him. Once returned to the forest, it was Sienna who explained him the situation. He was given away because his half sister would probably have killed him, in order to get the throne only for her, which, after the conversation with Kovu, was going to happen soon since the previous king had been killed and one of his half brothers was in danger. Kayode didn't want to hear anything more about it. He didn't want to hear about kings or queens or royal bloodlines, he liked his life like it was, why would he change it? Just out of curiosity, he wandered in the borers of the Pridelands again, until he reached the Water Hole. In there he met two cubs, Chitemo and Chima who told him how bad things were going in the Pridelands. The three became friends and Kayode realized how much his help was needed to stop his half sister Kotara.
