Likes: Being with Kimya, his friends, being himself, having fun, running through the grasslands, gazelles, water, sleeping sometimes, catching fish in the waterhole, hunting, being a mama's boy, sometimes being chased by other teen lionesses, watching the stars, sometimes nature, scaring off birds in the plains, meeting new friends, being the star of attention.

Hates: Not being with Kimya, seeing his friends or family hurt, not having fun, being by himself, seeing Kimya with other teen males, rude lions/lionesses, being upset, violence, baths, and being teased by some teen males.

Personality: Kerko is known as the main event, well since he is the King and Queen's son which makes him a prince. He loves getting attention, especially from teen lionesses and of course his crush Kimya. He's mostly humorous, friendly, and loving towards others. He doesn't want to cause any problems, but if he needs to fight someone then he'll do so.

History

Kerko is prince of the Pridelands and also the son of Kovu and Kiara. He was born second after his oldest sister, "Ayah" and lives a nice life. He doesn't mind at all that his sister has the throne to be queen. In fact, he figured being the next feature leader was going to be alot of work anyway. So, he pretty much stayed as a normal lion and lived a normal lion. Kerko was always an adventurous lion cub and acted just like his father Kovu. He was smart, always funny, and made lots of friends. His sister was often jealous of him because he would get most of the attention from the pride.

As Kerko got a bit older into his early teenage years, he grew handsome. Most of the teen lionesses would fall for his nice looks, including his eyes which got them the most. Kerko grew some maturity, but still had lots to learn from his mother. But one day, Kerko had met the girl of his dreams. Her name was, "Kimya" and she was new in the Pridelands. Her and her family were known as homeless rouges and luckily got accepted by Kovu. Kerko knew he had to meet this girl. She was beautiful and had a wonderful smile every time she looks at you. Kerko was head over heels for her and went over to meet her admittedly by the waterhole, where he saw her fishing. He saw she had trouble trying to catch a fish and offered to help. Kerko, once again was known as a excellent hunter and caught a fish easily. Kimya couldn't believe it and was impressed. She thanked him and him her name. Kerko told his name and also noted that he was the prince of the Pridelands.

Kimya figured he was a handsome prince and couldn't believe that she has met the King's son. The two easily became close friends and some things in common. They would hang out in their favorite spot around the waterhole where they first met and would sometimes run around the grasslands together. It was paradise for Kerko and love at first sight for Kimya. The two had huge crushes on each other, but kept it as a secret.

One day while Kerko was out practicing his hunts with his sister and father, he was after a gazelle, his most favorite food. While he was running, he happened to trip over a body that was laying on the ground. Kerko fell onto his stomach. He got up, looking back and saw the body laying inside a pool of blood. It was an black leopard, seeming it was almost to it's death. Kerko knew he had to help the fellow and told that Leopard he would get help. And he did. He went off to get his father and sister, who were still going over some hunting lessons. Kovu figured his son was making up some throne about a leopard. Leopards haven't been inside the Pridelands for years. Most of them were wiped out by African Hunters, who killed them for their fur. So, Kovu went to go see the black leopard for himself. Once Kerko showed him, Kovu couldn't believe his eyes. His son was right!

The leopard told Kovu his name, "Taki" and stated that he didn't mean any harm. He just wanted to find a safer place to live and go, away from the human hunters even though he knew they'll find him again soon by his scent. Kovu figured Taki doesn't seem violent. He seemed very friendly and peace making, so he let him live inside the pridelands with the Pride's protection over him. Rafiki cleaned some of Taki's wounds from where he got shot and told him he'll survive and live if he keep taking this green medicine leaf. Taki understood and did with the wise monkey had said. Eventually, Taki, Kovu, and Kerko became friends. Kerko would often give Taki tours around the Pridelands, and Taki would tell Kerko where he was from and how he grow up. Kerko was surprised by the story, but understood where he was coming from. Besides, his story seemed touching. He promised he'll always have Taki's back no matter what happens. Taki was like a brother to him and often would call him brother.
