Story:
Khatiti was born in the Makazi Pride, a small pride neighbouring the Pridelands. She is the grandaughter of Malka.
King Simba and Queen Nala, their daughter Princess Kiara and her mate, the Outlander prince Kovu were all good friends with her parents Queen Malkia and King Bakari of the Makazi Territories. It was an alliance that begun since Malka found himself lost in the Pridelands as a cub.
Since the birth of Khatiti and her brother Enzi coincided with the birth of Princess Kiara’s own cubs, Khari Princess Akili, it was decided that young Khatiti would be paired with Khari, the future king of Pride Rock, with Akili betrothed to the future king of the Makazi Pride, Enzi.
When Khari was introduced to his future queen, he hated the idea of being married to her. Khatiti was a feisty, yet still a lady-like character, while Khari and his sister were completely the opposite, mischievous and getting into all sorts of things, from wallowing in mud pools and climbing trees, to more dangerous activities such as flicking scorpions and harassing snakes. Still, despite Khari’s “Princes don’t play with girls” attitude, little Khatiti refused to give up on him, ignoring his huffy hints for her to get lost with her constantly cheerful (and no doubt annoying) attitude, following the prince around and whining to Kovu whenever Khari refused to play with her. In the meantime the tomboy princess Akili never became best friends with the girly Khatiti their relationship was always a neutral one. But Akili certainly found it hilarious whenever she saw Khari’s pained expression when Khatiti called his name, or when he was “forced” to get involved in gentle play with his betrothed (Kovu and Kiara always gave him a firm talking to whenever he was rude or bad-mannered towards Khatiti). Akili loved nothing more than to tease her brother whenever the Khatiti subject was mentioned. When Akili's personality changed however, the comments became vicious and more hurtful. In the end Khatiti became afraid of Akili and tended to avoid her from then on.
Time passed, and the immature little cub that Khari used to be was replaced with a handsome, yet somewhat awkward adolescent. Of course, puberty soon changed his perception of girls…! Khatiti had by then become an attractive young lioness. She still paid regular visits to the Pridelands that were arranged by Khari and Khatiti’s parents since their cubhood, in order for the cubs to get to know each other. Khari never really bothered to get to know Khatiti (he was always trying to escape!), but now that he’d started to pay attention to her, he started to realize that not only was she beautiful physically, but she also had a beautiful personality.
As young a young adult, Khatiti left her birth pride to live with Khari in the Pridelands. Life would have been perfect, if it was not for Akili, who was still behaving erratically.
Khatiti lost her brother Enzi to a disease, and later on she lost her own life when Akili attacked the Pridelands with an army of hyenas. Her daughters Waridi and Neema were just cubs at the time, in the protection of Khatiti's younger sister Nia.
