History: Before he was born, his father was killed and a cruel new lion took over his mother’s pride, luckily his mother was able to escape to the pride-lands, where she soon gave birth to him. When he was born his mother knew he was destined to someday rise up and free her old pride from the cruel lion’s reign and to lead them and so named him Kiongozi, which means leader. One day they were discovered by a hunting party and they escorted his mother, who carried him, still a young cub, to pride rock. When there, Mufasa took pity on them and allowed them to join the pride.  Kiongozi‘s mom raised him to be a leader, but at the same time made sure not to pressure him too much. She frequently encouraged him to hang around Mufasa and see how he runs the pride, and soon, Mufasa took a liking to the young cub and took him under his wing, becoming a sort of step-father for Kiongozi. He spent much of his cub hood being mentored by Mufasa, even alongside Mufasa’s own son, Simba, though most of the time Mufasa took them out on separate occasions and gave them each special attention, partially because of their age differences. When he wasn’t with Mufasa, Kiongozi spent half of his time with his mother and the other lionesses of the pride and the other half playing with the other cubs. 

One day when Kiongozi was almost a teen, Mufasa and Simba were killed in a stampede. Kiongozi  was dismayed, the only father he’d ever known was dead, along with the only sibling he’d ever known. Scar, Mufasa’s brother, became leader then, and Kiongozi  was very unhappy with how scar ran the pride and treated the lionesses, and each day he became even more unsettled until, one day when he was a teen, a couple hyena’s killed his mother, Kiongozi snapped and killed the hyena’s then ran away. He ran for days until he reached a watering hole, tired and famished he stopped to rest and drink. Then he saw some lionesses being harassed by some young lions, and remembering what he was taught by Mufasa, fought the lions off with the help of one of the lionesses, who was about the same age as him. When the males had been chased off the lionesses took him to their father, the leader of their pride, and their father let him join the pride while he recovered, as thanks for saving his daughters.  But soon he ended up growing close with one of the lion’s daughter’s, whom was the daughter of, as he found out, Sarabi’s sister, who had been traded, like Sarabi, to be the future king’s mate.  When he was a young adult he fell in love and became her mate, and having two cubs with her.

One day a lioness stumbled upon the pride, she was gravely hurt and half-starved; they instantly took her in and helped her to recover. When she had recovered, Kiongozi  asked her where she was from, and her answer startled him, she was from the pride his mother had fled before she gave birth to him, his mother had told him many stories of the cruel lion who had taken it over.  And then Kiongozi remembered what his mother had told him all his life, he was destined to save this pride someday. So Kiongozi gathered some lions together and set out with the lioness leading them to the territory in which the pride was located. When Kiongozi and the lions got there, they left the lioness at the edge of the territory to return to the pride, and continued on to confront the evil leader of the pride. When they got there, they launched into battle, but they let any who were not loyal to the evil king, go free or join their side.  They soon overcame the king and his followers and killed them.  Kiongozi took over position as king, and they would stay in the territory until all the evil kings followers were filtered out and, as they soon decided, the pride would move to the new territory, due to it having more rivers and vegitation and therefore more prey and would be able to support the pride easily. The lions who had come with him became his personal guard, the leader of which was his best friend, Tojo, whom he had met after joining the pride.  After a year, they had finally filtered out the vast majority of the evil king’s followers, enough that he felt comfortable enough to allow the pride to leave their original territory, which was very desert-like, his mate, who, with his cub’s, had visited him frequently throughout the year, and discussed the moving of the pride with him. led the pride to the new territory, since she, being the eldest of her sisters, inherited the leadership of the pride when her father died. when she arrived with the other pride in the new territory, her and kiongozi began  ruling side by side as king and queen.  ~more to come, at least a little bit xD ~

Relation to TLK: Grew up in the pridelands with mufasa as his step-father and simba as his step-brother, tojo is his friend, his mate is the daughter of Sarabi's sister.
