History: Mataifa was born in the outlands, but her parents were young and inexperienced and didn’t want her so they left her on the border of the pride-lands hoping someone would come by and pick her up. Luckily soon after they left her there that very thing happened, nala, who had recently just had her own daughter, kiara, was out for a stroll along the borders and happened upon little Mataifa and she picked her up and brang her back to pride rock with her. After consulting with her mate, Simba, Nala decided to raise Mataifa along with kiara. Nala and Simba treated her like she was actually their cub, and told her no different.

As Mataifa and kiara got older their differences became more apparent, where kiara was rebellious and never wanted to listen to their parents, Mataifa was content to listen to them and stick around pride rock and she loved to listen to the stories they told. She loved it whenever Simba or Nala would take her out to see the different parts of the pride-lands. She also noticed her physical differences from the rest of her family, but refused to believe she was any bit different, and though she was teased by other cubs for her markings, she still tried to convince herself she was no different from any other cub. But there was one cub that also had markings, and was also teased for them, his name was United, Mataifa and United soon became great friends. They spent all their time together.

As time went on and she grew into a young teen and so and she couldn’t deny how different she was, so one day she went to her mother nala and asked her why she looked so different and Nala told her she was adopted, and that she should have told her long ago. Mataifa was distraught she had known almost all her life that she had been different, but she never thought she was adopted. Mataifa ran to her best friend United for comfort, he was the only one who understood her. And she realized she loved him, much more than a best friend, and when she told him she was delighted to hear that he felt the same. That night the pair decided to run away together, to somewhere they might actually belong. ~More to Come~
