Relation to the Lion King: In a Pride with Kula and Malka’s son, son of Kovu and Kiara.

Moto was born with his twin brother Baridi in the Pridelands. He loved his family and would love to play with his brother and their friend Manish, Simba and Vitani’s son. Simba and Vitani didn’t care for Manish as well as their other cubs because he wasn’t meant to exist at all, so Kiara and Kovu took care of him and Moto saw him more as a brother than a friend.

One day, Kiara and Kovu had taken the three of them out for a walk in the savannah. They sat down in the shade of the trees whilst Moto, Baridi and Manish went and played, however, the three of them strayed too far from Kiara and Kovu.

They tried to get back, but the clouds had come down and it created a foggy atmosphere. Then the rain came and Moto found it hard to see, but Baridi saw a cave and the all went and ran to it.

Moto was really scared. He’d never been without his parents before, but he found comfort in Baridi and Marish.

Suddenly, all three of them turned their heads as a giant crack sound was heard. Part of the roof of the cave gave way under the weight of the water from the tropical storm and a surge came towards them. Moto was the quickest to react and he leapt to his feet, but just as he reached the cave entrance he was washed away by the river. It already had Baridi and Manish in it.

Moto kept trying to breath, but kept swallowing water. He was panicking desperately.

Soon, the river died down, but not before it had taken the cubs far away from the Pridelands.

Moto told the others that they needed to stick together and find someone to help.

Help did come!

A pride of lions had discovered the cubs a couple of days after they were deposited by the river. They were called the Utendaji Pride and they welcomed the little cubs.

However, Moto protested in staying, saying he wanted to go back home. The ruling lions agreed to try and find the cubs home at Pride Rock, but they never did.
